Very nice hotel, steps from Times Square with good dining options

Although I feel Hotel Edison is a high grade hotel, my particular experience was colored by the unfortunate building construction opposite of the front-face of the hotel. This work went through the night on one of my two nights there. It was so obnoxious that I didn't get a wink of sleep. Made for a tough drive home the next day. Despite this, the hotel is clean and presents well with helpful valet, door, security and front-desk staff that seem in plentiful supply. The connected restaurants were a huge part of selecting this hotel and they did not disappoint. My stay was too short to make full use of the facilities such as the gym. The elevators are small, but there are a lot of them and they move quickly and without a lot of noise. The location, just a few hundred feet from the meat of Times Square is hard to beat.
