We recently returned to the Arizona Grand Resort, a place that’s special to us because we got married here, but this visit was very disappointing. The pull-out sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable, and several areas around the resort felt neglected. We even noticed dirty band-aids at the pool, which raised concerns about cleanliness, especially for families. Food and drinks felt significantly overpriced for the quality and service we received, and an email I sent before our stay—expressing how excited we were to return—went unanswered. The resort still has charm and a lot of potential, but the overall experience has declined, and sadly it didn’t live up to our expectations or the price.

I stayed 4 nights. The double queen room and suite was just as pictured on the website. I agree with previous reviews that the bathroom is just plain bad and poorly designed. There is barely room to clear the door to open or close without it touching the toilet. The shower curtain was well worn, tub has rust stains, excessive water scale staining in shower head. Tile grout and wallpaper very tired and tattered looking. The room looked fresh and was fairly clean. There was a need for detail in the dusting. Clock and lamps dusty. Beds were super comfortable, and the sheets were soft and there was a good selection of pillows. Also the towels furnished were thick and nice. Nice bath products also. However, the ones in the holders in the shower were very hard to use. Biggest complaint was that housekeeping only cleaned my room once during the 4 night stay. They describe a light cleaning each day including fresh towels, and removing trash and dirty towels at the minimum. My trash was overflowing and 2 of the four days I had to track down, and call for fresh linens. Even after I requested my room to be cleaned and purposely stayed out of the room all day, they didn't show. Most staff I encountered were e extremely friendly and helpful throughout the rest of the property. They were all very helpful with directions and explanations. I ate at 4 of the restaurants offered. They were overpriced and the food was average and as expected. The front desk staff during the day were exceptional. As well as the staff at the day spa. I had a facial and a massage. Both of my treatments were wonderful. Renee, my masseuse, was fabulous at listening and accommodating my needs and concerns. I highly recommend her to anyone needing a massage. My facial was very good also but I can't remember the ladies name. The spa was well appointed for the most part but extremely overpriced for the amount of amenities offered. Only 1 steamroom and a hot tub. Both were very warn looking. For some ridiculous reason they were blasting rock music in these areas. Very unrelaxing. The lockers and dressing areas were nice but there were nothing offered to help one get ready other than cotton balls and blow dryers. No hair combs or brushes, q tips, etc. The lady that worked the front desk was also very gracious and professional. She was working very hard taking care of coming and going guests, the phones, tours of spa area, refreshing the relaxation room. It was a good visit in general.
