I had a blast visiting Marriott's W Punta Cana resort in Punta Cana. I have actually stayed at all the resorts on that street except for 2. I give the resort a good 4.25 because it still needs some work in a few areas. Overall the property is very nice, beautiful landscape, nice beach for my beach lovers, couples oriented and LGBTQ friendly as well. I didnt give off the party or lively atmosphere the W brand is known for in the States. For my solo travelers and girl/guy trips, they might be let down. Food: Most of the restaurants you dont have to make reservations for. Its first come first serve. Only Scena and the Rooftop restaurants you need reservations. If you are a true foodie, you will be pleased. My favorite restaurants were Noodle and Taman. (Chefs kisses) Beach: Great views, no sargasm at the moment, nicely groomed and manicured. Pools: You have the main pool that looks out to the beach and the Chill Pool. Both were nice but I liked the Chill pool bc the water was warmer and the swim up bar is located in this one. Ocean View Room: Dont let people tell you this but the room does matter. The room was nice. Great view of the ocean. The balconys are huge and you could sit out there for a while just watching the ocean and people watching. I received like 12 huge welts from something biting me. I wish there was a screen door so you could leave the door open and not have to worry about bugs flying into your room. But I had bites on my ankles, legs and arms. Room service: It stated it would take 1 hour and change to arrive. It came in 45 mins but the food was barely warm. So that might be something to work on for guests expectations. Staff: All the staff were really nice. Shout out to Esther. She was helpful for setting up reservations and getting me a W Punta Cana bag. Alfed took me around at the spa. He was such a vibe. Rudolfo Rosario- Mgr of Taman. He always cam and checked on me at dinner. He also brought the chef out to meet me. Bienvenido - Noodles Supervisor Milagros- hostess for speakeasy/noodle Fannie - made my awesome drink Gregory Mgr Trade was a vibe as well. Always made sure my food was good plus gave me a tour of the rooftop restaurant. Also to the lady that always made my omlettes. Chef in Trade Bar and staff who did the choclate tasting. That was really fun. Female performer: Omg..she was amazing. Too bad only a few of us saw her perform. She has an amazing voice. I can't wait to see what improvements are made to make it a true 5 star. Safe travel and enjoy the resort. #sooncome as I visit DR a 4 to 5 times as year.

Great facility with really kind and helpful staff. The location is spectacular, allowing long walks along the beach if that’s your thing ( or you can take a horse and ride along the beach). As a high level all inclusive it’s just missing the final finishing touches to make it a truly 5 star resort. You really have to enjoy raw seafood, if you do this is the resort for you. During our stay with my senior parents, we encountered some issues in our initial room, including no door to bathroom area, a shower door that wouldn’t open fully, and an electrical outlet that was malfunctioning. At first, it seemed difficult to resolve, which left us concerned, however, once Expedia (I called Expedia) and management became involved, the experience improved significantly. They promptly repaired the shower door and upgraded us to a different room. Although the bathroom area still has no door (appears to be the design of this room category), the upgraded layout provided more privacy and space. What deserves recognition is the consistent follow-up from staff—they checked in with us every day to ensure we were comfortable and satisfied. Their attentiveness and professionalism made a strong positive impression. The food was good (I could see the effort), and the overall service from staff across the resort was outstanding. Despite the rocky start, the team handled the situation with care and ensured the rest of our stay was enjoyable.

The W Punta Cana is one of the most impressive new hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I’m not going to lie I went in with low expectations because the hotel is brand new. But from the moment I arrived I felt like I’d stepped into a tropical haven designed with pure luxury and personality in mind. The hotel definitely gives white lotus vibes and I love this for them! The staff is great. They set the tone immediately by being so warm and welcoming. They grabbed my bags and even offered an upgrade and allowed me to choose which room I would prefer. Check-in felt less like a process and more like an experience, complete with helpful tips and a passion fruit welcome drink that tasted like vacation in a glass. My room was absolutely stunning. Very modern design, vibrant touches, and a beach balcony view. The bed was insanely comfortable, the tech features were seamless and even the bathroom felt like a mini spa. The balcony view was everything and the table and balcony bed were definitely comfortable. The dining options were another standout. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Breakfast at the Trademarket had everything from a traditional Dominican food station which I appreciated because I wanted to eat dominican food, to an omelette station and even crepe station. Fruit bar and juice bar was so good and fresh. Fernando Santana was the best hostess always pleasant and so sweet he took care of us. Went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our food. Always good seeing him. The wet deck had amazing red snapper fish and the Talman which was Mediterranean was delicious the seafood pasta and the steak with truffle mash potatoes was delightful. We had Thanksgiving dinner on the beach which was very nice they even had a man playing the saxophone while you eat. The meals were staged nicely and the food was good. My favorite bar was La Plaza Yanira, Santa and Joel were the best Bartenders at La plaza. Highly recommend going there for drinks before dinner. Love the tree places inside the actual bar. I also enjoyed and had so much fun at the speak easy I have to shout out the amazing waiters Patricia, Tatiana, Fanny and Cristobal. All were great and friendly they definitely enjoyed taking care of the people. My fave night was Colmadito night Baby A assisted us with creating a mamajuana and even putting a picture of my boyfriend and I on it for memories. We loved making our own mamajuana. That night they definitely provided great entertainment. It was special I was able to see authentic dominican portraits and they offered dominican cuisine the chicharron with yuca was mouth watering delicious. You felt like you were in the colonial zone of DR. It was well put together. The people were playing dominican music with their instruments and all dressed alike with the dominican flag colors. The infinity pool was live and always had a DJ. Karina is the best she would make sure our drinks kept coming and was very fast and friendly: she always made sure we were accommodated with a pool bed. The spa was very nice and the facility itself was modern. The cold plunge pool was freezing and the jacuzzi pool was warm. The massage itself was decent. The prices were a bit much for the massage provided and the products used. I’ve experienced better for cheaper rate. The beach was beautiful although I did not get in the water because I’m not a fan of the waves but they keep the beach well put together and the cabanas and service is top tier. I definitely enjoyed my stay will return for sure!

Cuisine is absolutely delicious, ambiance superb and rooms exquisite… really great time with friends and instructive
