Charming buildings & grounds that pre-date the revolution. Staff is friendly & welcoming. Rooms are spacious with separate sitting room & large balconies. All rooms have updates electrical, plumbing, drywall, & AC There are little hidden alcoves to sit & have a drink surrounded by lush greenery & covered by vines. The architecture is delightfully colonial! The food is traditional Cuban - it's Cuba - you're not here for the food... The beach & the ocean are spectacular! 30 minute bus ride from Varadero Airport.

Everything is excellent. Staff, rooms, all in general. They're very professional. Shows at Night are good. I’m highly recommend Los Cactus.

If you Are going, check out the chikungunya disease. Many, many Cubans are sick. Even though we took alot of bug spray. We don't feel well. If I would have known this we would not have gone. We a 73 and 75. The vaccine IXCHIQ is only good for people under 65, Costs about $210 and not covered. We have been to Cuba 46 times and the Hotel Los Cactus 35 times. I hate to say this but our main problem was drunken Russians, Our Hotel was about 75% Russian. We loved it there but I am sorry to say but very Rude and Loud. We will probably leave Cuba now.
