If you are looking for a little more help on how to book a flight with us, you've come to the right place. Here are some commonly asked questions we receive about booking a flight online with WestJet.
To book a flight online:
- Go to WestJet.com
- Enter where you are flying from (origin)
- Enter where you want to fly to (destination)
- Enter the number of adults, children or infants in your group
- Enter the date you’d like to go
- Enter the date you’d like to return (optional)
- Press Get flights
- Choose from available fares
- Include details for each guest in your group
- Choose to select seats online
- Add extras like insurance or car rentals, if you’d like
- Review your booking before payment
- Pay with a WestJet dollars, WestJet gift card, WestJet Mastercard, credit card or digital wallet
- Review your confirmation online or when you receive your confirmation receipt by email
Once you’re booked, you can manage your trip online: add / upgrade your seats, review your trip details, or change or cancel your flight.

No, you don’t need an account to book or manage a flight with WestJet. You can manage flights booked in My trips by using your reservation code and last name.
To make booking easier, earn WestJet dollars and use WestJet dollars to pay for flights online, sign up for WestJet Rewards.
You will receive a confirmation receipt at the email address provided during booking with all of your trip details. You can manage your trip with the reservation code in the confirmation.
If you did not receive a confirmation receipt, you can contact us for help.
You can book up to 6 seats in a single online reservation. If you have 7 to 9 guests travelling, you can complete two separate reservations with up to 6 guests on the first reservation and the remaining guests on the second reservation. For groups of 10 or more, contact the WestJet Group Desk at 1-888-493-7853, as additional services are available for these types of reservations. Group reservations are available on WestJet and WestJet Encore operated flights only. Code-share and interline flights through our partner airlines do not qualify.

You can pay for your flight online with WestJet dollars, Westjet gift card, WestJet Mastercard, credit card or digital wallet.
WestJet dollars can be used like cash to pay online for all or part of the base fare of an eligible flight or vacation package. WestJet dollars cannot be applied against taxes, fees or charges and can only be used for new bookings. Learn more about eligible flights and fares.
At this time, WestJet Travel Bank cannot be accepted for payment on a WestJet Vacations booking.

Our website displays only packages that are available at the time of your search. However, we do not display the number of packages that are available.
You can book up to six (6) guests in a single online reservation. Seven (7) or more guests can be booked on one reservation by contacting WestJet Vacations. For groups that require 10 or more rooms, contact the WestJet Vacations Group Desk at 1-877-495-8747, as additional services are available for these types of reservations.
At this time, only one departure and one arrival city may be selected for WestJet Vacations packages booked through our website. We can assist with multiple city bookings, please call us at 1-877-737-7001.
Because this system works in real time, availability can change between the time you check the availability of a package and the time you go to reserve the package. Vacations are constantly being sold, making availability change as well.
We require payment at the time the booking is made. If you do not have a payment card, you can book your vacation with a travel agent.
You can pay for your vacation online, through our contact centre or with your travel agent. We accept American Express®, Discover® and Diners Club International® cards, MasterCard®, Visa®, and Visa Debit and WestJet gift cards.

WestJet utilizes a ticketless reservation system. You do not require a paper ticket for your flight. In most cases, vouchers or tickets are not required to redeem for hotel, car, activities or services. A piece of photo identification is enough to redeem vacation services. You will be notified if a voucher is required for any part of your vacation.
