A wonderful stay!

Qw had the most wonderful stay with my family and extended family in July. The rooms were spacious and immaculately clean. The beds were comfortable too. The breakfast was delicious, we ate early due to the jet lag travelling from the UK. This meant our breakfast experience was 10/10. I could see it got really busy from 10 onwards but that wasn’t an issue for us. We enjoyed the evening drinks reception- our kids always managed to find a few snacks to tide them over. The pool was great- so big and clean. Our families had a great time bobbing about all day- even the little ones. We always managed to get sunbed too which was great. Overall we had such a great time, thank you to all the friendly staff at Embassy Suites!
Could have been better

We just stayed there for one night and happened to arrive when their pool was closed for maintenance. ??. Unfortunately, that was the only reason I was staying there for the one night as I had heard how beautiful the pool was and we have stayed at so many locations on the island that we wanted to try this new one out. They took off taxes and resort fee, but honestly that was only $50 and there was hardly anybody there so when I asked for an upgrade, I got the room on the second floor, which is the main floor looking at a pool that had fencing around it could not see the ocean, and I was on the backside of what I believe to be laundry and the kitchen. I received many of I’m so sorry ma’am so sorry but with all those rooms, I can’t imagine why there wasn’t a better upgraded room that we could’ve occupied. They did send up a say platter of some fruit, which was a nice touch and I did appreciate that the room is clean and sharp looking, but the bed was very hard. The nightly reception was 2 drink tickets and that was fine and the breakfast is very good. I can’t seem to understand why the resort does not have complimentary water like most hotels do specially in this type of climate. As you enter the building or as you exit the pool area into the lobby, there should be some type of water for their guests. Randy at the pool hut was very nice. The day we checked in, we had to go and use the Palapas at the ocean, so we used the tunnel to get to the other side. One thing I think they need to do is tell you where to go once you exit the tunnel so you know where the huts are. I was just excited to stay there just for the one night I do feel however, that the room should’ve been a heck of a lot cheaper because of the pool not being functional. Also, it’s a very pretty property. I just think that there needs to be more added to the property more amenities and the birds inside the lobby area were a bit extreme, especially when you were trying to eat breakfast in the morning and this was inside a building. You almost had to cover up your food when you left for a second or two.
Great vacation

Very new and clean. Since we visited in August, usually it was not horribly crowded. It was only one morning that there was almost no sitting left for breakfast which was a wonderful buffet breakfast ending at 11. Most of the staff were very nice. The beach of the hotel was just a bit rocky but Eagle beach and Palm beach are a 10 minutes walk away.
Awesome experience

Very nice, clean and hospitable hotel! Pros: rooms are nicely updated with a beautiful interior design, coffee shoe and store available at the hotel, pools with a bar onsite, access to a private beach, free breakfast, a happy hour every day for which the hotel will give you a ticket for one free drink, and an extremely helpful concierge/front desk (e.g., helped us when one of us were sick, helped to get a lizard out the room, etc.). Cons: None! Definitely recommend!
A Great Place to Stay with the Family

Overall, we loved our stay that Embassy Suites! I'll break down the pro's and con's below: Pros: 1. It's a beautiful hotel. As of this writing, I think the hotel is only about 3 1/2 years old. The rooms were modern, and quite spacious. We had a bedroom, living room and a mini kitchen area. Both the bedroom and living room had a large screen tv. To the gamers out there, connecting your HDMI cord will be a little tricky as those tv's don't provide enough wiggle room between the wall and tv. There was a spacious desk in the living room area for those who unfortunately have to work a few hours (like myself). The balcony was huge and accessible through the bedroom and living room! The bathroom was also modern, plenty of sink space and they provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash 2. The pool is the star of the show. The pool was gigantic! Plenty of space for the kids to play and for the adults to hang by the pool. Its open till 10pm, and with the blue lighting gives off a wonderful vibe. Please note, if you do decide to go swimming in the evening, the towel room closes around 7pm. Also, there's no lifeguard. I'd say the pool goes to about 5 ft. Also, there's a kiddie pook and hot tub (We didn't check those out) 3. Breakfast is included. Its nothing Earth shattering, but you get your standard buffet of eggs, bacon, pancakes, french toast, bread, fruits, etc. They do include some other interesting choices such as beans and ground beef. They have an omelette station as well. (they were delicious by the way) The food was fresh and always re-stocked quickly. The best part is, breakfast is open till 11am! No rushing to wake up early to get breakfast and there's plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. 4. Friendly staff. I know this should be a given, but everyone is willing to help you and provide any amenity you need. Cons: 1. Its kinda out of the way of everything. If you didn't rent a car, be prepared to walk at least 20 mins to shops/restaurants in both directions. We had to order taxis because we were not going to walk in that heat (we went in August). Also, the road connecting to the shops in JE Irausquin Blvd was under construction. 2. No ATM. Not a biggie here since we walked to the next resort, but it would be nice to have one in the lobby, especially if you're going to cab it everywhere. (cab rides ranged from $7 dollars to $15 dollars USD. Taxi rides to/from the airport is about $35 USD and they only take cash) 3. Make sure you bring water shoes. The beach is on the small side but VERY rocky before you get to the middle of the water. There is a roadway between the hotel and beach. You can either walk through the underground walkway OR take your chances and cross the roadbed. Overall I'm giving the hotel 4.5 stars. The price is worth it, and if you rent a car, most of the cons become non issues. We'll definitely be back!
