Another Great Stay!
ITL-HPN (Toronto, Canada) on Apr 18, 2026
Another great stay at Embassy Suites Aruba. Customer service is always on point at this hotel. From check-in to check-out everyone does their best to make sure your experience is as best as can be. It’s the reason we keep coming back. Our 3rd stay didn’t disappoint. Rooms are fantastic, beds are on the firm side but comfortable, Breakfast is awesome at Embassy Suites, complimentary with tons of options. There’s always a chair by the massive pool, gym has newer equipment with a newly added cable setup which is fantastic. Pro-Tip: - Pool toys are always around for free, save the room in the luggage - FREE Happy Hour tokens are provided for some drinks and snacks (fruits/crackers) are provided -Get the rooms facing the pool from the Hot tub side if you want beautiful sunset views. Get the rooms on the gym side for quiet time and ease of access to the pool and parking. -Big shoutout to Frank Henriquez (Maintnance Supervisor)- It’s always nice to chat with people who are passionate about what they do and the experiences along the way. Cons: Couldn’t stay longer :) Masha Danki ??

Really expensive family hotel

This hotel caters to families with little kids. Nothing wrong with that and I'm sure I would have loved to come here when I was raising mine. But the pool is pretty much unusable for adults. Kids and dads throwing balls to each other all over the pool and running around on the platform, like a poorly run suburban town pool. I did go during a school break period so I'm sure it's much better other times. Staff was a bit overwhelmed while I was there in early April. Breakfast offerings often empty (though were always replenished at some point) and dishes left out in the dining area. Not sure why people can't just bus their own tables, it's not difficult. Coffee was great. Skip the evening reception. Drinks were subpar and food was just tortilla chips with a scoop. Housekeeping was excellent. The hotel has an underated beach across the street. It's small and quiet. The main attendent is a young man named Keon, and I'm convinced he will run the resort one day. He was so helpful and attentive. If he decides to leave the resort, he'll be Prime Minister of that island at some point. Lobby Starbucks is well stocked and is open till 11pm which is really helpful. The gym was pretty good, but not at the room rates they were charging. For that kind of rate, there should be bottled water, or at least cups for the cooler. Two benches, about five treadmills, and dumbells. Three thin and worn yoga mats. There's some kind of expensive pool cabana reservation system, but I never really understood it nor did I have any desire to pay an extra $80 to see people throw nerf balls in a crowded pool. Just go to the beach and tip Keon for a hut, it's money better spent. So, it's basically an Embassy Suites that goes for $700/night because of the location. 20 minute walk south is Eagle beach, same distance north is palm beach. The walk is awesome and adjacent to the ocean. For the room selection, they have ocean view, pool view, and nature view. Ocean view are front facing rooms on floors 4-8. Pool view are front facing floors 1-3. Nature view face the back. The nature view rooms also face a huge block of industrial fans which are loud. That didn't bother me at all as I love white noise and usually bring a large box fan with me when I travel. But if you plan on spending time on the balcony, get a front facing room unless you dig white noise.
I would not recommend their pool view upgrade

I’m not a hotel snob but when I pay more money for a pool view, I would expect that I could see the pool, not a building with a block on the roof, blocking the pool.

Fantastic experience for a family of five. Two double beds and a pull out, works for families! Not in the room much, but ample space for sleeping! The housekeeper did an outstanding job on keeping our room super clean and always left us bottled waters during our stay. The breakfast was outstanding, full of options, omelet station, pastries, oatmeal, waffles and plenty of other options that satisfied all our kids. They also have an evening reception which you get tickets daily and you get two beverages per registered guests. Pool and the numbers of chairs and loungers were all nicely maintained and spacious and clean. The beach is very close, you can either walk across the street or walk thru their tunnel and it’s a pretty nice and somewhat private beach area. We also really liked the fact there is a path that we ran or walked every day. The distinguishing factor that really shocked us, the staff was always working, keeping the grounds and breakfast areas super clean, and friendly. Overall, five stars, would definitely go back with the family!
