Best Stay in Aruba!

This hotel is fantastic! It is essentially brand new. It is VERY clean and the staff are all helpful and kind. The amenities are excellent. The daily brunch is out of this world. The location is perfect…just two minutes off of the main drag. I much prefer it here. The beach is fabulous and the service there is wonderful. We rented a Jeep and drove everywhere to explore the island. Loved it! We will be back!
Great stay, excellent staff. Some room for improvement.

Hotel has everything you likely need for a stay in Aruba and Jorge & Ransiel by the beach provided amazing customer service. Thaisa at front desk was also really helpful. Beach - very rocky so bring water shoes. Better off driving to walking to Eagle Beach. Breakfast - standard fare but not much variety, the staff work hard. Eating outside on the patio is a bonus. They need to have more vegetarian protein options. Happy hour was a nice touch with good drinks and snacks available. Prepare for a line up to get drinks. Pool - huge, clean and well maintained. Not much shade while in the pool. Loungers and sunbeds start to get taken by 7am. Towel staff are really helpful. You can reserve a sunbed for the day 24 hrs ahead of time for $80 USD which includes a $30 food and beverage credit. Housekeeping - my biggest complaint. Room wasn't cleaned adequately on most days. Lots of sand still on the floor, not providing fresh bottled water (although tap water is safe and clean), not providing new bags for the ice bucket etc. and once I found the housekeepers latex gloves just thrown on the floor. It's clear they aren't cleaning the rooms properly. Parking - ample spots available Overall, good value for money but room for some improvements.
NOT so Happy Island due to Embassy Suites

My family visited Aruba over the past few days . First of all, I must say, I travel often and have never left a review so the fact that I am stopping to do so says a lot. The hotel grounds, lobby, pool area and amenities are A+. The bedroom and sitting area was fine but the bathroom was covered in mold. Our first night was horrible. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The hostess was a gem. She was super sweet. The waiter...not so much. We waited forever for appetizers. As he kept walking by without checking on us after brining out water, we had to wave him down to ask him to check on it. Around midnight I discovered the temperature was not budging even though the thermostat was set on 65 from the time we checked in. I notified the front desk around 7 am. We went down to breakfast around 9:30 and still no one had come to fix it which prompted me to stop by the front desk to notify again. Around that same time, my husband reserved a rental car through the concierge service. We had plans to walk over to the beach so he reserved it for 1pm. Eventually maintenance came to fix the air.....right as we were about to leave. They had to block the doorway with a ladder to get to the a/c unit. We waited for about 20-30 minutes and then asked if we needed to be present while it was being fixed and asked if they could let us out the room. We proceeded on with our day at the beach which included tubing. Our tubing excursion lasted longer than expected because our boat abruptly lost power steering and had us stranded out on the ocean for about 20 minutes (that's another long story). Needless to say, we arrived back at the hotel at 1:45. Upon approaching the concierge desk, the concierge, "Janana", shouted my husband's name. He walked over and she said she had called him numerous times and why wasn't he answering his phone. He pulled out his phone and informed her that he had no missed calls. She proceeded to YELL and call him "rude" for not being back at the hotel at 1pm. She said he shouldn't have booked it if he wasn't going to be there. I then stepped in to inform her that we are guests and there is no reason for her to speak that way to us even if she did feel that we had to be there at a certain time. She responded again by saying he shouldn't have booked it. I informed her we first left late due to maintenance fixing the air in THEIR establishment and the time away was further exacerbated by being stranded on the water during our excursion. I then walked over to request management. Management (Aline) gave me a business card to send her an email explaining the complaint. I'm not sure why it was necessary considering other employees witnessed the entire interaction and could corroborate what happened. She did explain that Janana worked for an outside company and not employed by Embassy Suites. I expressed understanding but also shared she is a representative for them and it is not a good look. I sent the email immediately upon returning to our room and asked for a follow-up. That was on Friday. We checked out Tuesday and still no response via email, no call, no acknowledgement even though we passed that same manager on Saturday and Sunday. We also saw Janana on Saturday and Sunday still sitting at the concierge desk. Again, no acknowledgement, no apologies, nothing. Upon check out, I requested to speak to the manager again. This time I spoke to Angelo. I explained no one had responded to my email and I wanted a follow up. He said he never received the email. I sent it again while we were talking. He proceeded to tell me that Janana was removed from the Embassy Suites location. That may sound like a reasonable solution, but the whole situation and conversation felt very dismissive. I even reminded him that Aruba was supposed to be the "Happy Island" and based on our experience at this establishment; we experienced the complete opposite. In other words, avoid.
Relaxing convenient, comfortable family vacation destination

Just returned from a week at the Embassy Suites. It was a fantastic vacation and we really loved this hotel! The pool area is beautiful and spacious and it never felt crowded. There was a very nice relaxed vibe at the hotel. As parents, we really liked that from every spot on the deck of the pool area we could see our kids. There were no hidden areas or multiple pools the kids could run wander off to. The beach area the hotel had was also good for this reason. The water there was calm and it was very private (while all beaches in Aruba are public the area was separated from the main beaches and we only ever saw other hotel guests). The breakfast buffet was great in the morning and we loved eating outside in view of the lovely surroundings. All of the restaurants and activities at palm beach were a ten minute walk or two minute cab ride away and we went there multiple times and really enjoyed ourselves but loved coming back to our hotel for a quieter, serene experience. Our first vacation in Aruba was amazing and we can’t wait to come back and stay here again!

Third time in Aruba. First time booking this hotel. Made the decision to stay here as opposed to the other major hotel at the other end of J.E. Irausquin Blvd. due to the fact that this is newer hotel. Suite was functional and spacious. Hotel was very clean. The included breakfast was great and items served changed daily and continually stocked. Coffee was good. Also includes a Starbucks. The pool and hot tub were wonderfully large. Did not have any problem securing covered seating at the pool. Happy hour was nice. Every member of the staff treated us wonderfully, The hotel is not directly on the beach but there is a tunnel to get there. Went a little bit further down the beach due to it being nicer. Was able to take chairs. Based on the hotel's location noise level was not an issue. Easy flat walk to resturants and grocery store. Great time, highly recommend!
