It had a very lovely pool and an easy place to get around. I especially liked Miguel and Jesus that helped us a lot and check in and Miguel at the restaurant. It’s a very nice place for families or a quick get away with friends and family:))) Extra nice beach!!

We stayed April 2024, 2 adults , kids age 11 & 7. We had a lovely family holiday enjoyed by all. When we arrived we found our room was a different layout to expected, a big thank you to Carlos at reception who did his best and upgraded us to a family suite, which was so amazing. We choose the hotel as it advertised kids clubs - we saw the baby under 4’s but did not find any supervised older activities that did not require a parent to be present. They did daily rock wall climbing and a small zip line (most suited to under 8’s). And there are basket ball and football courts (balls available to borrow from games room. ). Family activities is a games room with air hockey/pool /table tennis and crazy golf. Also a cinema room that plays 3 different films each day and evening entertainment show at 8.30. We spent most of our days at the pool as there was a great family pool games programme from 10-4. Big shout out to Beth and JLo who got everyone involved. There is no shortage of beds around main pools but not many have shaded options, all loungers at water slides have cover. The hotel has 5 specialist restaurants you can book during your stay and a buffet restaurant. The buffet restaurant is great for breakfast but dinner is very dissatisfying and not much variation of choice. To book one of the restaurants you need to be on the app at 8am and by 8.03 all slots are gone! In all of the restaurants the food is served warm not hot, which was a bit of a let down. Snack bar by pool opens at 11 and caters for usual burger/hot dogs etc, and there is a inside snack bar by reception 10pm - 6am serving burgers and sandwiches ( chef made us sandwiches when we went for our 5am excursion and wrapped for us to take with us). Oriental snack restaurant behind pool opens 12-4 for Chinese and sushi there is also coffee and cake station behind lifts. The only complaints we had about the hotel is- 1. If you’re not American forget getting served coffee at breakfast, there is no machine to get self serve either in the buffet . We noticed every morning USA guests were seated by a staff member and brought drinks and plate of bacon immediately, all other guests had to seat themselves and try and catch a passing server to ask for a hot drink and yes we were tipping too! 2. The food in all restaurants is served warm not hot so was wary ordering some of the fish dishes - everything we ate in the specialist Restaurants was delicious. Also the app booking system is like a race and all slots gone within 3 minutes. Top tips- you are right on the beach, if you go down and turn left, between this and the next hotel is 2 outside beach parks which make for some amazing pictures and the Cancun sign is right here at top by the road. You will also find lots of wild iguanas here, take them a whole banana from the buffet and they will all run down to get the peel and middle. Ubers run in Mexico and are a lot cheaper than the Taxis, it’s only 126mxn peso to las Isla which has a great mix of designer and souvenir shops as well as the aquarium. Book your excursions through trip advisor - visitor as much cheaper than hotel reps and transport so cheap. Best dolphin experience is dolphin discovery - book directly on line. They have a market inside here at least 3 days a week, the sellers do not hassle you and expect you to haggle, so be brave as we got our bits for half the original asking price ??

While the buffet food could be better, the restaurants were absolutely amazing. When you arrive find Jesus---he is so kind, knowledgeable and wants you to have the best time. We bought pool floats at home at Five Below and left them for others to enjoy. The floats at the resort are expensive, as you can imagine. The gas station just outside of the resort has a few little souvenirs as well as a lot of other things cheaper than inside the resort. Overall we had a great time. The beach is beautiful, water is so so blue!

We had a good holiday here,we are a family of 4 two adults and two children 8 and 9 years. The location of the hotel is good, not too far from the airport. Room was ok, the whole hotel is a little bit dated and needs refurbishing but that didn’t matter to us ,the room was clean and decent,the only small thing was that the AC was a little loud and you can’t just switch it off as it gets hot without it but it was ok. All the employees were really nice and helpful specially the entertainment staff by the pool. The beach was nice and clean.Now the biggest disappointment for me was the food and this is why I am giving 4 stars overall. We don’t drink alcohol or party in the evening so food is important for us beside having fun with kids. Breakfast was the best meal and ok, lunch was also ok(but just ok nothing special) we usually had burgers and fries by the pool,although I must say chicken nuggets were really bad, just a suggestion to the hotel to change it as it’s something most kids like. Now dinner was most disappointing as there was not much choice, it was repeating a lot and didn’t taste very good. Now my husband and I would manage to find something to eat again that’s just ok but my kids not really and they ended up eating mostly bread and butter for the whole 12 days. Now the biggest let down was pizza as it was absolutely horrible, I am not exaggerating but it is the worst pizza I ever had and we eat a lot of pizza. Again as something lots of kids eat it’s something you should look at. Another thing was ice cream, always very soft and melting so by the time you get back to your table it’s melted as well as lack of different flavours, most days it was just vanilla and coconut and just sometimes some Neapolitan (mix of tree flavours) so no basic flavours like chocolate and strawberries which is really weird and again had disappointed children. Another big thing at breakfast was no chocolate spread,so all the lovely pancakes and waffles but no chocolate spread. There was only sugar mix, honey,caramel and not very nice jam which my kids don’t like. We’ve been to many other similar all inclusive resorts and they always have chocolate spread. I know it’s done to bring the cost down but we paid a lot of money for all inclusive food and it’s disappointing when main kids food is not nice or not even included. We tried all the specialty restaurants too and must say they were not any better then main buffet restaurant. Like we went to Italian and there was no pizza on the menu as we were hoping to get some decent pizza but just weird to go to Italian and find no pizza! Also went to steak house but the steak was not the best. All in all we had great time just didn’t enjoy the food specially my children. As a family resort with many families visiting with children this should be better. Just an advice to management, try to improve your pizza,chicken nuggets, ice cream and food overall and do some chocolate spread!! ????

A must have is the bellman Jesus.. he was so helpful and never forgot our names..he got us what we needed, gave us great service and told us place to go have fun.. we had a blast as a family of 11..restaurants was good..buffet was ok.. place is clean and well taken care of.. thank you Crown Paradise Club
