It will be hard to express with words the two weeks we spend at Catalonia playa Maroma. The purpose of the vacation was to re-married on the beach after 35 years of marriage with family and friends.We were a group of 17 and everyone had a blast at the hotel. Rooms were big and clean with all the amenities needed to stay comfortable, mattress were one of the best of many resorts we visited in the past. The resort is extremely well designed and without being big it looks like it. Main centre walkway take you anywhere you need. Restaurant and food are very good, but always is room for improvements on little details. Beach is gorgeous and plenty of seats and good bar service. Pool is not big, but you don't feel it crowded. Very good entertainment and music not loud. Now, the especial mention for all the staff at the resorts: Reception: Extremely professional and multilingual.Big thank you to Fernanda, Isabel, Ledie ( sorry if spell incorrectly) and everyone at the desks. Excellence Membership advisors: Fernando and Daniel Waitress at El Pajarito: Alexis, Juan, Abelardo, Samantha, Jesus, Viviana, Angel, Alberto this people make the stay for us memorable and feeling at home and well treated. Rodolfo at the meat cook to order was outstanding. Waitress at theme restaurants: David, Isaac, Bryan, Nelly,Vanessa, and others that can remember the names provide us with great choices for food and wine selections. Room cleaning people: very nice and cleaned everything, rooms looks spotless. Finally, the wedding planning team under the extremely professional management of Paloma Vizcarra, help us to have one of the most memorable moments on our life.Thank You Thank You Thank You. Everyone of our group will remember the time spend at Catalonia Playa Moroma and for sure we will return Maria and Gustavo

Check in / Check out was easy Rooms are slightly tired, but very clean and comfortable. No complaints! The layout of the resort has a main path right through a jungle like atmosphere featuring tons of wildlife like: Monkeys, Coates, Iguanas, and Birds. Just that alone makes us want to return! Buffet food was excellent quality with typical staples and variances based on different food themes each day. The theme restaurants are beautifully designed and were wonderful. The portions can be considered a bit smaller, so you may need to go to the buffet after if still hungry. I booked all of our reservations the first day using the site provided which made it very easy. So much better than standing in line or going through someone else to pick the dates/times. Loved the poolside snacking options like fresh pizza, hamburgers, fries, and fish and chips. Great alternative to the buffet if you just want to stay on the beach in your swimsuit. The pool is small, but we did not feel crowded at all. The bar services were great. We traveled with 2 teenagers, but there were great accommodations for young children including a kids club, special small tables, small chairs for kids on the beach. All staff we dealt with was super friendly and helpful. It is clear they take great pride in their work and providing excellent service. We absolutely recommend this hotel and 100% will stay again. Best resort we have ever been to. Final note: This is a relaxing resort perfect for a quiet vacation with or without children. If you are looking for a "party resort", this will not be for you.

Cozy hotel with nature that feels like heaven. Also you get to see exotic animals walking around. But warning, if you're vegan nobody knows what it is and they will give you vegetarian food like cheese, butter, mayonaise or cream - had to accidentaly eat it all so probably you have to say you have allergy..

I am very happy to visit Catalonia Maroma. I am very grateful for your support and service of Bryan in restaurant Terrace. I promised to come back and see him again the staff should be very kind and cheerful like that guy. fantastic. Great experience Xoxoxox
