I was not expected the hotel to NOT have a nice beach. They do have a little space but I was disappointed at the fact that the beach was too small

1/2 hour drive from airport was good Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff Rooms very roomy and clean Food very good with multiple options Buffet not very good - small with minimal options for the size of the hotel. One morning, it was a 1/2 hour or more wait to get it. No A/C either. Beach is very small, stoney and you have to go down a dozen stairs to get to it. Swimming pool long and narrow with lounge beds on both sides. The side furthest away from the may walkway was narrow so if you had a walker, you not only could not get down to the area, but there was no where to go once you did. With multiple weddings there, for a few days, all lounge chairs were taken. Not for seniors or people with accessibility issues - accessible washrooms had no grab bars, showers had no grab bars, stairs had no railing in the preferred area (rooftop) We paid $25/day for preferred which gave us rooftop privileges; i.e., restaurant, swimming pool, lounge area. For most of the time, the pool wasn't accessible and for all of the time you felt like you were at a disco. Music terrible and loud. No opportunity to hold a conversation or quietness to read. What we found out was that if you were a member of Hyatt, every guest you brought to the hotel was given preferred status; hence, with the multiple weddings there, we had minimal access to the swimming pool due to crowding. Had we known this, we would not have paid the extra. Would we go back...definitely not.

We had an amazing time at the dreams vista (preferred room). I think this is the perfect resort for a family with young children (mine are 5 and 7). The kids club is just amazing!! All the girls working there are so sweet and the activities are so much fun for little kids, they never wanted to leave. It also feels very safe. While the girls were at the kids club, we could enjoy the adult only amenities such as the free hydrotherapy at the spa that comes with the room and the rooftop pool. The food is delicious, our favorite restaurant was the italian restaurant. We also enjoyed the complimentary boat ride to isla mujeres, what a fun offering! The waiters and servers are super nice, a special shout out to Jesus and Edgar at the buffet. Brian and his friend (i’m sorry i forgot his name) were also always ready to bring our drinks by the pool. Finally, a special shout out to Zamir from the entertainment team that was always smiling and full of energy. He is an amazing surf wave instructor and by the end of the week, I could take the wave all by myself! He was so encouraging! The climbing wall was also lots of fun! So many things to do at this resort! All in all, a perfect vacation! Thanks to the whole team!
