Really great hotel with really attentive staff. We tried all the restaurants available to us (one was preferred club only) and found all the food really well prepared and well thought out. Buffet was probably the best we've had, for all meals. Breakfast buffet was especially good with different stations for tacos and eggs, they even had a smoothie station. Shout-out to the ladies on the egg stations at breakfast, absolute experts. Lots to do in the hotel every day, with tasting classes, exercise classes and of course the golf course attached to the hotel. We played the course a couple of times and really really enjoyed it, even if it was fairly expensive. Credit also to the sommelier Pamela on her fantastic tequila tasting class, really knowledgeable on all drinks and seemed to be all over the hotel on a daily basis. There's a good choice of bars in the hotel, we spent the most time in the Baraquda Beach bar where we were really well looked after by bartenders Daniel & Daniel, not to forget server Carlos who was really helpful every day. Three great guys and a credit to the hotel. Desires bar is the late bar of the hotel that serves until 1am, bit of an odd spot, was really busy some nights we were there and other nights literally nobody in it. Music super loud so not great for everyone but we enjoyed it occasionally, Anthony the bartender was really great and managed to hold it down completely by himself.

Really great for the whole family with a lot to do. The staff is very nice and helpful and the restaurants were very good. Vista Prime was especially great, with phenomenal food and service. Zoshua was THE best! Side note, the golf course is top tier with perfectly manicured grounds and amazing views of all the houses and resorts in and around the marina. Also, stop by the coffee shop for ice cream, great drinks, and treats. A great spot for everyone!

The best hotel ever! The food was really good as well as the service. Eric the one in charge of entertainment is the best one making us laugh! Great experience.

?? Warning About Unlimited Vacation Club Sales Tactics ?? I want to share my experience so other travelers can make an informed decision. During our stay at Secrets Playa Blanca, we were approached by representatives of “Unlimited Vacation Club” and invited to what was presented as a short informational session. What followed was a very high-pressure sales environment that lasted much longer than promised. We were encouraged to make a large upfront payment (thousands of dollars) with promises of exclusive benefits, upgrades, and savings. However, after taking time to review everything more carefully, we realized many of the claims were misleading or not clearly explained. When we decided to cancel shortly after, the process became extremely difficult. Refunds were not handled transparently, and a significant portion of the money was withheld under vague explanations (such as “hotel upgrades”), without a clear breakdown or prior agreement. This experience left us feeling misled and taken advantage of. My advice to future guests: • Be very cautious if approached about the Unlimited Vacation Club • Do not feel pressured to make same-day financial decisions • Take time to read everything carefully and independently • Understand cancellation policies in writing before signing anything The hotel itself may be nice, but these sales practices seriously impacted our experience
