Good but not great

Eli E on Jul 18, 2026

We stayed here for four nights in July. We got the premium ocean view suite with the hot tub. First, the good stuff: - The gym here is amazing with amazing views. - The buffet was great, and rotated foods so you never got the same menu. A great hamburger and taco cooking station and omelette station for breakfast. We never had to wait even though there were 5 of us. - Pool was awesome, with plenty of seating and umbrelleas for shade. Service was great too, very attentive. - Excursions picked up right from the lobby and the dock out front for Isla Mujeres. Very convenient. Next, the less than greats: - Hot tub had brown water coming out of it, when we reported it they said someone would come look at it but that never happened. - The balconies have huge bars running across them which kind of ruins the ambiance. - The restaurants here all require reservations and they do not make it easy to get them. Also, the restaurants close on a rotating basis with no warning. - The adult pool and bar on the top closes at 6 PM for some reason, which I find ridiculous. - Entertainment is limited, most likely you'll have to go elsewhere. Overall, I would say this place is fine, but you could find better elsewhere.

Our Perfect Destination Wedding

Abby S on Jul 16, 2026

Our wedding at Dreams Vista Cancun was truly the most incredible day of our lives, and we cannot thank the entire team enough for making it absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived until the very last dance, every detail exceeded our expectations. The resort is beautiful, the staff is genuinely kind, and our guests are still talking about how amazing the entire weekend was. The biggest thank you goes to our wedding coordinator, Josselyn. She was nothing short of exceptional. Planning a destination wedding can be stressful, but Josselyn made the entire process feel effortless. She was organized, responsive, patient, and always one step ahead. Every detail we envisioned came to life perfectly, and on the wedding day she handled everything behind the scenes so we could simply enjoy every moment. Her professionalism, kindness, and dedication made us feel completely taken care of. We truly could not have asked for a better coordinator. A huge shoutout to our bartender, Roberto, who quickly became one of our guests’ favorite people! He kept the drinks flowing all night with a smile on his face, remembered everyone’s favorite cocktails, and brought such fun, positive energy to the reception. Our friends and family are still talking about how amazing he was. Roberto truly helped make the celebration unforgettable. We also want to recognize our MC, Veronica. She did an outstanding job keeping the evening running smoothly and keeping the energy high from start to finish. She was engaging, professional, and made every transition feel seamless. She helped create such a fun atmosphere and kept everyone involved throughout the night. Finally, our photographer, Armin and his team, was absolutely incredible. From the very beginning, they made us feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. He captured every emotion, every detail, and every special moment so naturally. His creativity, attention to detail, and ability to capture genuine moments were amazing. Looking back at our photos allows us to relive the best day of our lives, and we are beyond grateful for his talent. Dreams Vista gave us the wedding we had always dreamed of. Every member of the team went above and beyond, and we felt so cared for throughout our entire stay. If you’re considering a destination wedding, we cannot recommend Dreams Vista enough. Thank you for giving us memories that we will cherish forever!

family vacation

142sarae (Miramar, Florida) on Jul 12, 2026

I spent 4 nights with my family and I have no negative things to say about the hotel. it was excellent from the beginning to the end of our stay. food is excellent, specially in Bluewater restaurante. Yuridia, Richard and Mario from Bluewater were the most amazing and kind people , they were waiting for us everyday for breakfast and lunch with love and super professional. we upgraded to preferred and it was totally worth it. rooftop has amazing views and ambience. our room was 1512 AB and the view was amazing. the room was super clean and housekeeping was always attentive to our needs. the beach is a little small but the sargassum was minimal and that is an important feature for a cancun hotel to have during the sargassum season. the shows were amazing, we enjoyed the acrobatics show the most. dinner reservations were very easy to book through the app. we definitely will come back for more!!!!

Wonderful staff and great moments, but with room for operational improvements

Rodrigo B on Jul 10, 2026

We had many pleasant moments at the resort, and the absolute highlight of our stay was, without a doubt, the service. The staff is extraordinary: the housekeeping team was excellent, Iris and Alexis were wonderful and very special servers, Juan the bartender at the Sports Bar was fantastic, and Mr. David at the buffet was impeccable. They were all incredibly attentive, sharing great tips and constantly going above and beyond our expectations. While the hotel has great potential, a few structural and operational details impacted our hope for a fully relaxing vacation. We experienced some noise due to ongoing construction, and we also faced the stressful mishap of getting stuck in the elevator for 15 minutes—something the resort should definitely look into. Regarding the dining experience, the flavors were great, but we noticed room for more variety. At the Bluewater Grill, the menu could be broader and include more non-spicy options. At Himitsu, we missed having raw fish and sashimi choices (which we actually found to be more varied by the pool area). On another evening, we ordered a risotto that tasted delicious, though the rice was a bit undercooked. Lastly, for those who enjoy working out, the fitness center has good equipment, but it would benefit from a better layout, as well as colder water and some protein options for post-workout. Despite these details that deserve management's attention to match the resort's caliber, we are deeply grateful for the warmth and dedication of the amazing staff who took such great care of us!
