This was our first time at a Secrets and thought it was just okay. We stayed on the preferred side and while the rooms were renovated they weren't luxurious compared to other resorts. The swim out rooms are freezing and the patios don't have a lounger. The staff at this property is very good and it's spotless. We thought the food was average and not worth noting. Our favorite restaurant was Italian at Portofino and we liked it the most. The pools are very nice and heated. We came to play golf and the course is challenging ,in excellent condition and very well run. We also wanted to play tennis and the courts are completely inadequate to the point of dangerous. They aren't maintained and have huge rips in the surface. The gym is nice but no active programs. I can't comment on the spa as it wasn't open yet.

We go to the Cancun / Riviera Maya area 2 to 3 times per year and have stayed at many different resorts in this area. This was our first time at the newly renovated resort. We were there with out daughter and her partner. We were so glad we chose Secrets Paya Mujeres for this trip! The resort setting is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are beautiful. The resort had only been open for 5 days after closing since April of 2025. The staff throughout the resort could not have been better. Everyone there is so friendly, kind and helpful. We stayed in a Preferred Ocean Front Master Suite and our daughter & partner stayed in a Preferred Ocean Front Junior Suite. The newly remodeled rooms are very beautiful, tastefully done and very functional. We spent most of our time in by the preferred building area. Because the Preferred Pool, Preferred Lounge and Preferred Breakfast Restaurant are all clustered in one area. We enjoyed our days in that area, and enjoying our lunches in the Preferred Lounge! The food at Ki Ki Che, the Preferred Restaurant, above the Preferred Lounge was exceptional and the wait staff, excellent! For being open for just 5 days and many of the staff new, the food at the resort was really good for an all-inclusive resort. We are at the Market Buffet for breakfast just once and was good. For dinner, we really enjoyed Portofino, Himitsu and Hibachi. Two of the nights we took a cart over to the Dreams Resort and ate at the Mediterranean and Brazilian restaurants, enjoyed both those restaurants! The resort is beautiful and the beach is very well maintained. It was just remodeled so the rooms were very nice. Food was very good at all of the restaurants and we were also able to go to the dreams next door which gave us more choices when it came to dinner. Make sure to pay attention to the dress code as they enforced it very hard at Dreams. Golf course was awesome and very challenging. Very tight fairways with lots of hazards and jungle. Even saw a croc on one hole. Definitely would go back.

We had a wonderful stay at Secrets Playa Mujeres. The resort is beautiful and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to Delmi, Maru, and Aldi in the Preferred Club, who truly made our trip memorable. We were celebrating my 50th birthday, and they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and taken care of with genuine kindness and attention. The new Preferred Club pool is stunning, with great ocean views, and breakfast at Ki’Ki’ Che was excellent and consistently high quality. Overall, a great experience and a resort we would happily return to.

Super clean resort, staff was amazing, amenities were awesome as well. I've been to 6 different Secrets locations and this was one of my favorites!
