Seven miles of pure paradise

Bird G on May 12, 2024

Amazing!!! This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Ive been to maldives bora bora turks and caicos and aruba. Seven mile beach will not dissapoint. Everyone at the westin provides first class service. They make you feel like royalty. Special shout to Recena who provided personal service for me as a Marriot Ambassador member. The cocktails are very approrpriate. Refreshing. The food is great! The rooms are very clean and well kept and smell good. Thank you Westin! And shoutout to the bellmen crew who made the best recommendations for local flavor restaraunts and nightlife. Matthew and the fellas.

Appalling loud lobby band. No peace to be found here…

Doug F (Key Largo, Florida) on May 10, 2024

We booked the poolside king upgrade It should come with a warning as a courtesy to those looking for peace and quiet: “These rooms are subject to very high levels of extra noise from the lobby until late at night” The lobby entertainment in the evening sounded like a drunk singing in the shower. And there’s no hiding in your room: it’s ear splitting. The staff were very apologetic, as they should have been when they offered me an alternative room facing the breakfast bar, with TWO QUEEN BEDS. Oh and some Bonvoy points back…. Seriously???? I’m sitting writing this in the lobby whilst we are unable to converse in anything other that a yell. Even the waitress couldn’t hear… Unable to uplink a video for the sound behind the bedroom door. Absolutely incredibly awful even for a motel 6….

Beautiful ocean, pool was just ok

Laura G (Chesterfield, Missouri) on May 09, 2024

3.5 stars The balcony was nice, the resort had some good food options and a decent pool, although it didn't really feel like another country. There was not an adult only pool. The spa was typically overpriced for a resort but I had a nice massage, however there were several upcharges and the relaxation room was quite busy so I definitely wouldn't spend more than an hour on the other amenities. The ocean was beautiful with some "lily pads" for lounging.

Fantastic trip

Roxypants on May 09, 2024

Lovely property and very friendly staff. Our room was perfect except for no shelves in the shower or a bedside drawer. Cleaned twice a day meticulously. Live music by the pool at sunset was an added bonus. Hit and miss service at lobby bar. Have a drink outside. One blunder on the part of the hotel was to close half of the pool area for a private event mid day moving everyone over to a small poolside area with not near enough chairs. Pissed off a lot of people.

Don't waste your money.

Zero stars are preferred. Only because I had no choice. Don't get the "best room" because you will be placed feet from the lobby. Where I can say you will be up with the live music and loud crowds until 11 if not midnight, then woken up early with the fact your room, is the main corridor of course. I had issues from the moment I got there. NOT KIDDING. The first day I had to go to the front desk and then disrespect started. Besides having the air not very cool, the exhaust fan not working, eye-rolling from the front desk, the shower being clogged, and not getting much sleep due to what I have already written. The best thing is, you best get up early to get your place by the water or pool. The locals come and take the loungers and take some of the area which we paid for. The front desk seems to not listen when you tell them you are not Mr. Johnson, that my husband passed away. They continued to do so, at which point I believe it was done on purpose. It was a planned vacation with him, but he passed so I was trying to destress but that was far from what happened. The food prices were high. They charge you for everything plus add resort tax to that. So the prices you see on menus - are not the case, just add resort tax to that. The rooms should have a disclaimer which is near to the Lobby. They should reduce the prices because I know for a fact I am not the only one that had issues with this. There was a lady while I was waiting for the front desk to fix another issue I had. She came up and mentioned that their ($600.00 a day cabana) was cleaned up and all the food and drinks were gone when they returned from the ocean. The front gal, rolled her eyes again when walking to the back room. What she got was a "we are sorry" I sent a message to the Marriott points about my complaints "while still on the resort" but they stated there was nothing they could do while I was there. Then day of departure, I expressed my issues and had to get the resort fee reduced. Still having half my time (night) was ruined I returned and sent multiple emails. NOW, they are saying I should have just stayed, and missed my flight, if I deserved at least that. NOPE. So if you want to be overcharged, have no customer service, do not get de-stressed, having constant eye rolling and attitude this is the place. I am having second thoughts about other Marriotts. I know I will never return to the Grand Caymans and will NEVER stay at a Westin. Mind you the average 7-day stay there is going to cost you over 10,000. USD. I would recommend any other Caribbean island. Stay away from here.
