You Won’t Want To Leave!!

patricia82976 (Orlando) on Oct 05, 2024

We had another amazing stay at the luxurious Cosmopolitan.. The check in was a breeze with a friendly front desk and room was ready early. We were upgraded to a balcony with luxurious bedding, comfy sofa, beautifully tiled, bathroom, and chic decor. Every staff member we met, greeted us kindly and assisted us quickly. The Cosmopolitan is in a prime location across from the Miracle Mile shops where you’ll find a Walgreens to pick up essentials as well. There’s an air conditioned beautiful walkway to the Aria and Bellagio with easy access to the free tram to take you to the MGM Grand. Even though it was record-breaking temperatures in the hundreds , we always had access to an air-conditioned space while touring due to the Cosmopolitan’s location. I truly felt very special and my son told me that I acted like I was a kid in a candy store which is true. While gaming you’re able to get any cocktail you want , and specify the type of top shelf liquor. I really didn’t win this time, but staying there I felt quite the winner indeed. Looking so much to my next visit to my favorite resort and casino in Vegas, the cosmopolitan. You won’t want to leave!

Looks good but that’s about it!

How this place merits 5 stars is beyond me. It has one aim in life and that is to extort money from you, giving very little in return! Due to a delayed flight we arrived around midnight! No one was available to transport our luggage to our room and the directions we were given were awful meaning it took us at least ten minutes to find it- we are in our seventies and were exhausted! The room had no coffee making facilities meaning to get a hot drink we had to go back downstairs to find a coffee bar! To get in and out of the bath was a mission to say the least and quite dangerous at our age as the floor became very slippery! The two pools are ok but in the searing heat there is absolutely no shelter- unless of course you pay extra for it. They do have Netflix in the room but you have to use your own account! None of the bedside lights worked and when we complained the electrician told us that they were obsolete. The central light switch also didn’t work meaning getting out of bed to turn off the lights - again the electrician told us the switch was obsolete! We were awoken early one morning by a loud noise which sounded like an air conditioning malfunction! I phoned the desk only to be met with an answerphone message. We never did get an explanation. When at last checkout time came it took over 50 minutes due to a skeleton staff dealing with queues of customers. All I can say is that if you are young and into gambling by all means get yourself ripped off by “The Cosmo”! If you are no longer in the prime of life find somewhere else to stay who value your custom!

Best trip ever

The Cosmopolitan is hands down the best resort I’ve ever stayed at in Vegas, and this was probably my 20th time here! From the moment we checked in, it was an amazing experience. Jaynie at the front desk was so nice and welcoming, and when I asked if there was a chance for a room upgrade, she made it happen! For just $65 a night, she upgraded us to a stunning terrace wraparound with incredible views of the Strip and the Bellagio fountains—truly unforgettable. The pool and all the restaurants we tried were fantastic. A must-try is Lardo, where I had the best sandwich of my life. Everything about this resort is top-notch, and we’ve already booked our next two trips back. Can’t wait to return!

Problems but would still stay again

Sally J (Kenmare, Ireland) on Oct 02, 2024

Booked the terrace studio specifically for the jetted tub. Arrived at 9.30pm, no queue at check-in. They didn't have our room so was given an upgrade. Explained that to us it wasn't an upgrade as we booked the room we really wanted. Spoke to a couple who checked in after us & they got the room we originally booked so why it was ready for them but not us, who knows. The room itself was beautiful & very comfortable. The view & the balcony were amazing however there is construction noise 24hrs a day. Literally no let up. We could get past that. What we couldn't ignore was a guy singing in spanish really badly playing a squeeze box plugged into an amp for 10hrs everyday right by the entrance. The noise travelled so it was like he was directly outside! We spoke to someone on checkout but got nowhere. I contacted the hotel when I got home but have not even been acknowledged. I would stay again as it is a beautiful hotel but I would ring ahead to hopefully alleviate some of the problems we had this trip.

Mostly good

DeDeN649 (Newbury, Ohio) on Oct 01, 2024

The hotel is lovely, clean and the room was very spacious with a fantastic view of the strip and the Bellagio fountains. Service was good, very responsive to requests like needing extra pillows and the hair dryer being broken (all remedied within 5 min!) I have 3 complaints-1) the shower in our room was actually a large room with a tub and a pass thru window to the bedroom. It was freezing in there for every shower 2) the internet in the hotel is horrible. Sometimes I had a signal in the room depending on where I sat, sometimes I needed to go out on the balcony to get a signal. I had no issues getting a signal at The Venetian, Caesar’s Palace, or The Strat so I don’t think it was our carriers. 3) no coffee maker in the room-nothing like getting up, getting dressed and meandering thru a smoky casino first thing to grab a $12 coffee at Starbucks. Room service the coffee you say? $25 for a pot plus delivery charge and tip. We enjoyed being here but would probably try another hotel next time.
