Teribble wicked spoon service and valet pick up desk

Alex B (Los Angeles, California) on Jan 03, 2025

View 100%. Furniture dated. The balconies dirty. Wicked spoon terrible. With half of the restaurant full for bk and only 10 ppl infront of it took 20 min to get a table. Only two hosts checking in at 10 min per party with 2 registers unused. Valet pick up machines faulty. It took another 15 min to get the car thru the desk which assured the claim was prioritized although there were just a few ppl checking out.

Not worth it

Sydfamilyof4 (Sydney, Australia) on Jan 02, 2025

Terrible Hotel. Checkin experience was awful - No room available until after 4.30 and Checkin team were dismissive and unfriendly. Room was ok, a bit tired and certainly not clean. We asked for a kettle to come to the room 3 times.. Never showed up. Extras from the minibar on bill when we checked out - had to dispute. No availability at restaurants to book for breakfast. Very disappointing overall.

First stay at the Cosmo will probably be our last.

Jessica D (Cedar Falls, Iowa) on Dec 29, 2024

Pros: Center of the strip and Boulevard tower is easy to access. Small available fridge in room. Cons: Beds are old and had dents in them. Light switches were coming off. Safe wouldn’t open and waited an hour for maintenance to open. Hotel said they gave us $75 food credit for the wait but upon checkout, we did not get it and had to pay for what we had charged thinking there was credit. Ice machine on our floor was broken and we told maintenance when in our room and was told “not our job.” Whole hotel smelled like sewer at times. MGM needs to do a remodel/refresh. Will go back to Vdara next time.

Loud Club Noise All Day

Natalie F (Toledo, Ohio) on Dec 29, 2024

We are frequent Vegas travelers. I have stayed in almost every resort on the Strip and some off Strip. This trip was going to be a relaxing trip after holidays. The check in was a challenge. I booked the night before since we were arriving at 7am . I checked in the VIP lounge, they did not have a room at 9am. We were told they were cleaning room. Full occupancy. We held luggage and wandered for a couple hours. Did not receive a text. So went back to VIP lounge. He had to call a manager to find something. Finally got the room at 12. Just wanted to sleep after traveling 18 hrs. Not possible, the Marquee pool day club started thumping at 11 am. To the point that the nightstands were vibrating. Even with ear plugs was loud bass. I called down to see if we could move rooms. No, full. I called again later, same story . I do understand if full occupancy. What I do not understand is why it is necessary to inconvenience probably 100s of guests with this night club under the tent. It goes from 11am to 6pm!! We were on the 31st floor in Blvd Tower. We could not sit out on balcony. I really didn't even care about the view of highway. I have to say I have never stayed in a resort with noise at this level. Couldn't watch TV, if you want to enjoy the Japanese soaking tub during the day, you will be sitting in there with bass thumping. Most of the day there was a handful of people even in the club. I would think it would be a better business decision to limit these hours and let your guests enjoy their room. Definitely will not be back unless a fountain side room. Just want others to beware of this issue.

Absolutely the worst hotel experience -stay away

Negar E on Dec 28, 2024

We had high hopes for the Cosmopolitan Hotel, but it turned out to be one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Despite its supposed 5-star rating, the hotel failed to meet even basic standards you’d expect from a 3-star establishment. First, there were no basic amenities like a toothbrush, toothpaste, or slippers in the room. These are things even budget hotels provide. The faucet in the bathroom was broken, so we couldn’t adjust the water temperature, leaving us unable to take a proper shower. The condition of the room made it feel like we’d stepped back 35 years. To make matters worse, last night we couldn’t sleep because some guests were fighting loudly. It felt like we were in a bad neighborhood, and we were genuinely concerned for our safety. At one point, it seemed like a shooting might happen. We called the hotel’s emergency security multiple times, but they took over half an hour to respond and did nothing but note the issue. We even considered calling the police ourselves. The hotel didn’t bother to apologize or address the situation—clearly, they’re more focused on making money than caring about their guests.
