Awful experience!

Staff who worked on the facility serving and cleaning were exceptionally nice and worked very hard. Adina by far was a blessing! As a food server she made sure we were very well taken care of. She honestly made the vacation bearable as we were ready to leave after the first night! The customer service staff was unpleasant and need training on how to handle issues that may arise. Check-in was awful! Johnathan claimed he tried to help by giving us intervals of 15min wait times. We waited two hours after the check-in time to get into our room. Then find out the elevator was not working and had to carry our luggage ourselves up 4 flights of stairs. They did not know when it would be fixed. The suite the TV on the first floor was fuzzy, the phone did not work, WIFI was in and out the entire trip, the lock on the door was missing, and during a bad thunderstorm the second floor flooded water seeped through the balcony and entered the bedroom. Upon filing a complaint with Michelle the customer service representative to express our anger and disappointment with the facility they offered two nights at the restaurants on the premises. She told us she would get back to us for further information we had to seek her out. She then Bathrooms by the pool filthy and smelled bad. We met 4 other couples at the resort who had the same and worse experiences!

When we arrived, they didn't give us a good reception and we had problems with the reservation. We felt that they were not willing to help us solve the problem despite the fact that we had traveled from so far and we were very tired..

First time in Costa Rica

This was a very nice resort. It was clean, friendly staff, good food and a—la-carts. Nice variety of mixed drinks. The rooms were clean and the linens were white and no carpet in the rooms. I would recommend this resort but if you’re there for the beach and swimming in the ocean then I wouldn’t recommend. The beach is volcanic rock and quite wavy so we couldn’t swim in the ocean. It took us longer to get to the resort, two hours but returning home was less time.

DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!

Whew! I don't even know where to start with this place, there was so many things wrong with it. I came here the end of June into July for my 50th birthday. I came with my 2 daughters and my sister. My daughters and I stayed in one room and my sister had her own room. I was very impressed with the place when we drove up and walked into the main lobby. The landscaping was really nice and you could tell that they put a lot of work and effort into making it look nice. But it was very deceiving because once we walked into the rooms we were very disappointed. It looked like they had not made any updates to them since the place was built. There was mildew or mold all over the room and it smelled like a wet basement. There was water dripping from the ceiling and down on the floors around the baseboards. It was hard to sleep every night because the beds felt damp and smelled so bad. I would throw the pillows on the floor and sleep without them because they smelled like spoiled milk. When I got home I had to wash the clothes that I didn't even wear because they smelled so bad. Our bags and luggage had mildew or mold on them by the time we left so we had to scrub them and disinfect them when we got home. The service was just as bad as the room. Everyday we basically had to beg for basic things like towels, washcloths and toilet paper. There were 3 people staying in the room but on the days they did actually give us washcloths, they would only give us 1 or 2. I had to either go to the front desk or chase down one of the cleaning ladies to get more. Every time we needed something which was everyday, we had to walk to the front desk to ask because the telephone in the room didn't work. One day they decide not to even bother to clean our room. So once again we had to go up to the front desk to complain. The people at the front desk were extremely rude to us. Each time they would give us attitude as if we were asking for something extra when we were just asking for basic stuff that they should be providing their customers. The food was not great. It seemed like they were just recycling the same food each day. We went into town and ate at some of the restaurants on some days because we just couldn't eat that food everyday. I was so excited about going to Costa Rica for my 50th birthday. My experience at this resort just ruined it for me. I really wish I had stayed somewhere else. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere nicer.
