Great hotel and amazing hotel transport

We had an incredible experience at Ocean Coral Springs, and what truly made our trip special was the people. The transportation service was top-tier sean is— reliable, professional, and always available. We could literally call for a ride anytime, anywhere, and it made getting around completely stress-free. That level of responsibility and dependability really stood out. Give him a call if you need transport around jamaica +1 (876) 280-3526 send him a message on WhatsApp. A huge shout-out to Britnie from water aerobics — she was absolutely amazing! Her energy was contagious, and she worked so well with the kids. She made everyone feel included, safe, and excited to participate. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does. And Miss Sofie. She greeted us every morning warmth and kindness and truly treated us like family. Her service and heart made such a difference to our stay.

We've just returned from two wonderful weeks at Ocean Coral. While reading the reviews here, I felt apprehensive, but after visiting, I believe that no matter where you are in the world, there will always be complainers. I wouldn't say that a crack in a tile or a missing towel would ruin my holiday; instead, I focus on the fact that I am fortunate to visit a place like this, especially as it recovers from the largest storm ever seen in Jamaica. Even though some staff members still lack access to water or electricity, they diligently come to work each day to serve their guests, with some being treated as second-class individuals. This holiday highlighted the worst traits of human nature; the absence of manners and respect from some guests was sadly evident during our two-week stay. The Jamaicans embody the essence of this hotel; they extend a warm welcome to anyone who takes the time to say hello. They are so proud of their country and culture, which was so lovely to see. Their main aim is for the guests to have a wonderful experience in Jamaica. On the first day, I spoke with Ashley from TUI, as there was a shortage of beach beds. Andre, the concierge, quickly arranged for the delivery of a large number of sunbeds to the beach the following day. Just ASK; they will go above and beyond to fulfil your requests. Ashley (TUI) and Andre were fantastic, and we took time to learn about the issues they face in the hotel and Jamaica. Jamaica relies heavily on tourism, and every negative review they receive harms their reputation. I feel a lot of the negative reviews are unwarranted. Our room was cleaned every day, with a jacuzzi bath as standard, a great walk in shower and a separate WC. A steamer was provided, which has now converted me! We had a large balcony with a swinging chair which I used to relax and people watch! The buffet was fantastic, and I challenge anyone to explain why they could not find something to eat, as I have previously read. The fresh pasta counter and the omelette station were superb – cooked in front of you, to your liking. It was great to find walk-in restaurants, as most Caribbean hotels have a booking system. There were a couple of restaurants that required booking, but reservations were on the same day, and we always managed to secure a table. The pool was huge, and there were plenty of free beds at all times of the day. The beach was popular in the morning, but we always secured two beds, even though we didn't arrive at the beach until 11a.m. most mornings!! The beach locals will try to get your attention, but just say no if you don't want to shop there. We went over and just chatted to them, didn't buy anything, and they were fine with that. There are too many beautiful people to thank, but a special shout-out goes to Derrick—what a character, and he has loads of stories; Peter and Courtney—so friendly and helpful; Erica and Doraine and all the hard-working staff in the buffet and restaurants; and all the bar staff in the lobby bar. The staff are a credit to this hotel. Obviously a massive thank you to Ashley and Andre; you are both great, and we look forward to seeing you next year!! You could fill your days with trips and activities provided by the hotel entertainment team, but we literally had 2 weeks of rest after a tough 2025... We have been to the Caribbean numerous times, but this was our first visit to Jamaica, and we're planning to go back next year. We loved this hotel; please ignore the negative reviews, and if you've already booked, don't fret like I did!! ENJOY!!

When we first changed our trip from Cuba to Jamaica, we had difficulty finding a resort last minute that was reasonably priced. We came across Ocean Coral Spring and were able to book it for a decent price without going too far over what we had originally planned to spend for Cuba. Before arriving, I joined the Ocean Coral Facebook group and saw many mixed reviews, particularly concerning staff. That did cause some hesitation, but our actual experience was very different, and I will get to that shortly. Arriving in Jamaica was a pleasant surprise. Despite hearing about “Jamaican time” and a more laid-back pace, the airport experience was extremely efficient. We were off the plane, had our luggage, and were through immigration in roughly 20 minutes. We opted for the resort’s provided transfer, which took under an hour. The drive was enjoyable, and we spent the ride laughing and chatting with the driver. Once we arrived at the resort, check-in was handled quickly and professionally. We were greeted warmly and directed without confusion or unnecessary delays, which was appreciated after a travel day. Now, this is where the staff experience truly stood out. The staff were overly accommodating throughout our stay. At no point did we feel ignored or treated poorly. In fact, a large part of why we enjoyed this resort so much was because of the staff and the effort they put into making our stay enjoyable. It is important to note that we paid for no upgrades or privileges and were still treated exceptionally well. Our room was spotless, and housekeeping did a wonderful job daily. Each morning we returned to cute towel decorations and a flower, which was a thoughtful touch. One moment that stood out was at the coffee shop, where a staff member brought a young girl behind the counter to help make coffee. The child was given a one-dollar tip for her help and proudly waved it around, clearly excited and proud of what she had done. It was a small moment, but it left an impression. Based on our experience, I truly believe that your interaction with staff reflects the energy you bring. Are there days when someone may not be smiling? Possibly. We personally did not witness that at all. The food exceeded our expectations. There was so much variety that I honestly wanted to try everything, and I did my best to do so. The drinks were equally enjoyable, and the bartenders were very generous with the rum. The entertainment team deserves special mention. They maintained high energy, interacted well with guests of all personalities, and consistently kept a positive attitude. I participated in several activities and genuinely enjoyed how engaging and inclusive the team was. The pool area was excellent. The water temperature was perfect, especially in the 25–30+ degree Caribbean heat. The only aspect that did not fully meet expectations was the beach. That said, this was something I was aware of before booking. I knew the beach was smaller and rocky, and that it would not compare to Cuban beaches. While I had imagined walking along the coastline, this is not possible due to rock walls. However, this was understood going in, and everything else about the resort more than made up for it. Overall, if you are feeling stressed or second-guessing your booking based on comments in the Facebook group, there is no need to worry. We had a great time. We did not purchase any upgrades, had a main-floor walkout close to the pool, and stayed for seven days. As I write this, we are on day six, and we would absolutely consider returning.
