Awesome New Year’s Eve in Jamaica!

nedzissou (Montreal, Canada) on Jan 10, 2026

We had a wonderful stay at Ocean Coral Spring, the experience exceeded our expectations. We visited post-hurricane, and the resort was impeccable, beautifully maintained, clean, and welcoming throughout. We were there for New Year’s Eve, and the resort made the occasion special with a live band and fireworks, making our experience super enjoyable. The staff overall was great and very friendly. A special mention goes to Monique, the Food & Beverage Concierge Manager, who was especially helpful in ensuring our stay went smoothly. Her attention to detail and thoughtful care made a real difference in our experience. We would also like to thank Chef Chavez and Orane for an exceptional culinary experience. The food across the resort was extremely good, from the buffet to every restaurant. The Thali Indian restaurant deserves a special mention, it was hands down some of the best Indian food we’ve ever had. The quality, variety, and execution of the cuisine were truly impressive. Thank you to the entire team for a memorable vacation!

Quality of Customer Service in Lobby and other areas.

I3766EHronr (Waterloo, Canada) on Jan 09, 2026

The only situation that was upsetting was the lack of communication from the Front Desk and Customer staff. When checking in no reference to possible disruption in access to the main lobby and restaurant area. Large machinery was situated in an area where those with mobility issues were "blocked" off from the ramp leading up to the restaurant area as well as the front desk. All the Management, through the front desk staff, had to do was to notify those checking in that there may be some temporary disruptions due to painting. When wanting to get some extra money, and asking the front desk staff, 4 or 5 times about their ATM units, they were "broken" and still had not been repair. Did they, the front desk people, tell us there was a Currency exchange just around the corner NO. When requesting an umbrella it did arrive 6 days after the request from customer service. Advising Customer Service about my phone wasn't working that well, I was still waiting for a repair on check out. As for the service at the various restaurants, housekeeping outside staff (Life Guards, "towel ladies, cart drivers, general staff who always said hello out of this world in customer service.

The check in was lovely! Sherri-Gaye looked after us and each time I went to the desk. Superstar employee! Beds very comfortable. Room spotless. Food was the best I’ve had at an all inclusive.

The Best

Really didn't think any other hotel would top the others I've been to, but this is definitely in my top 3. I had no complaints at all. From the check in, service, room , food and entertainment. Everything was top tier....would definitely go back...

Completely unacceptable experience

Departure41599543700 on Jan 06, 2026

The situation my family experienced during our stay at this hotel was completely unacceptable, especially as it directly affected our children. Our children were left sad and confused, repeatedly asking why the staff behaved so poorly towards us. It was incredibly difficult for us, as parents, to explain why they were being treated this way. Key Incidents: Disco Incident: On the second day of our stay, security rudely and impolitely forced all families with children out of the disco area. There were many of us, particularly just before New Year’s Eve. Everything in the hotel shuts down at 11 PM, and we were on holiday and simply wanted to spend some enjoyable time together and dance. We all left disappointed and returned to our rooms. Beach Access: In an absurd turn of events, we were forbidden from walking along the shoreline with our children along the Eden Hotel beach. Security aggressively approached us, claiming we had no right to be there. The children were walking calmly with us and we were talking; no one was running or disturbing anyone. Crepes Station: The staff member (Mrs. Judith) at the Crepe station was consistently rude and behaved as if she was working under duress. The atmosphere was so hostile that our children are now afraid to order crepe on their own and ask us to do it for them. Final Incident with Security: We experienced another unacceptable incident where security mocked us and refused entry to our tour guide, despite phone calls from reception confirming he should be allowed in. We were walking in heavy rain with our children to the gate, and the security staff could clearly be heard laughing and mocking us, saying sarcastically that we could even speak Spanish to him. It's a good thing our guide took photographic documentation, because the security guard started lying, denying everything, and talking about things that never happened at all. New Year's Eve Party: The New Year's Eve party was also a major disappointment. There was no opportunity to dance properly. Instead of playing music for everyone, only a handful of people were left by 1 AM. The animator kept talking into the microphone during songs, and the tracks were changed every 15 seconds (we timed it on a smartwatch). We have a comparison with our trip to Madagascar, where everyone danced until 5 AM because music for everyone was played, even salsa. Is this what a holiday is supposed to look like? I have spoken to other guests who confirmed that we are not the only ones who experienced such treatment. Many do not report it, feeling nothing will change; they simply wait for their week to end and vow never to return. This situation deserves serious attention from management. Basic respect should be a minimum standard for any establishment, especially one catering to families. We are sad to say that we certainly will not be returning and will not recommend this hotel. We are not picky people. We just wanted to relax with our children and be treated with kindness. Is that really too much to ask?
