Worst customer service

Awilda H on Jun 07, 2025

Towels are dingy and dirty and the customer service is terrible the front desk never answers the phones and leave you waiting for hours to help you .. you literally have to go downstairs to get help the food is horrible. They barely ever have anything that you need and the heat is horrible because the air conditioner isn’t strong enough to keep you cool . The staff there act like they don’t want to work or work for the tips I was willing to pay them

Budget resort on so many levels

Michelle B on Jun 05, 2025

This resort is at a great location, very close to the airport. I had requested joining rooms as we were traveling with young adults, however our request was overlooked and they had no more joining rooms available, the best we got was at least on the same floor and about 6 rooms away from each other. If they were younger, this would have been a HUGE problem so I am happy that I was able to get past the fact that the girls were not right beside us. It is a very clean resort and most rooms have a gorgeous ocean view. The décor and furnishings around the hotel is a bit dated, but I was not going to Jamaica to look at the hotel decor or furnishings. The weather was gorgeous all week, the pool water is super warm and clean, and the ocean was so beautiful and also very clean. I wish I brought my water shoes as I felt the ocean floor was a bit pebbly in some areas. The issues that I felt could easily be corrected are the following: The buffet was constantly running out of food, cutlery and plates. I don't know how many times we had to wait for a plate, go on a hunt for cutlery and wait for food to be replenished. It was a constant issue on the Cornwall side, so we started walking over to the other side which seems to be better managed, food was always full, each table was already preset with cutlery and a napkin, seems like a little thing, but a big deal when you are hungry and just want to eat so you can get back to relaxing by the pool or on the beach. I find the beach/pool chairs were plentiful, although it does help to get up early to reserve a few chairs if you want to be under an umbrella. But I think that is a challenge at every resort I have ever been too. The water pressure in the shower was always very very low, and the hot water did not work, or it was either really hot, or really cold, the middle setting did not seem to work. This is probably the one big reason I would not return, after a day outside in the sun, ocean and pool with so much sun tan lotion on, a nice warm shower would have been great. The room itself is a really nice size, very clean, fridge was stocked daily. But not having a blanket on the bed, I am not sure what is up with that? You have to request, multiple times as well, for a blanket, that doesn't even fit the king size bed. This is something the hotel chain should invest in as I heard several people complaining about not having a blanket, this is unnecessary noise that the hotel can very much do away with, just provide proper blankets for each rooms bed....problem solved! The entertainment staff, I did enjoy them. They are all very nice people and do the best they can to keep travelers entertained. We picked this resort also because we wanted to try out being on the hip strip, personally, some Jamaicans were a bit too aggressive for my liking when we stepped off the resort, we got surrounded one time, and felt very nervous. so we decided it is best to just stay on the resort, we had originally planned on walking over to Margaritaville, but decided against it due to our limited experience outside the resort gates on the hip strip. Overall, outside of the shower issues, lack of properly fitted blankets and poor management at the buffet, this is a great budget friendly resort. Food when it was available, was great on the Cornwall side.
