Great location

PeterB258 (Louth) on Apr 28, 2024

Could not have been a better location, next to Grand Central, having got the LIRR from Jamaica, short walk to Hotel. Room was excellent, spacious with a great view of the Chrysler building.

Excellent hotel and location

JCDavies67 (Reading, United Kingdom) on Apr 27, 2024

Excellent hotel location, well-appointed rooms with refitted bathrooms and good beds/linen, great lobby/reception, fast and frequent elevators, helpful staff and good, friendly and visible security. We had six people in our party split across 3 rooms - all great rooms. We came and went at all hours and were well supported by the hotel staff. We have stayed at the Hyatt Centric in past and whilst not as boutique, this hotel was just as good. An added benefit is that the Long Island Railroad from JFK (or really Jamaica Station) comes in right under Grand Central Station and connected internally to the hotel. Highly recommended.

Comfortable and secure

Deens42 (New Jersey) on Apr 26, 2024

I stayed here overnight for business in April. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel was secure and you could not enter with out showing your room key to a guard which made me feel safe. This is my second stay here and would continue to book.

Much less than expected from a Hyatt

bryanthurston on Apr 26, 2024

Old wallpaper falling off the walls and an undeniable urine type odor in the bathroom. Left with no towels and washcloths after the first day. Bath Shower faucet is pretty but hard to use unless you are Hercules.

Wonderful Hotel.

John P on Apr 26, 2024

We had a lovely stay in March. Room had a wonderful view up Lexington Avenue and the Brooklyn Bridge could be seen with binoculars. Room was a great size and was kept clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect, next to GCT and views of the Chrysler Building when you walk away from the hotel. Stayed 5 nights and was given $15 a day to spend in the market (snacks, coffee etc.). You have to leave the hotel about $450 on you card on arrival as a retainer and they take the $46 a day local tax from it before you leave. This is all in the information you are given when booking. Dont forget local taxes added to everything you buy, count on an additional 10% should cover it.
