Ideal location, great room, super visit

K W on Dec 05, 2025

The hotel and rooms met all of our requirements for our 4 night stay from the UK. We wanted a convenient location, and a clean, tidy, comfortable and affordable place to return to each evening after a packed day exploring and sightseeing. Key points: Check in was efficient and straight forward. The $15 daily allowance for the in hotel market was ideal to use to start our day with a coffee and a pastry. The market carries just a small selection of products, without being a full on store. There are plenty of other options within a short distance of the hotel, but was enough for us. My room, a king deluxe, was clean and tidy with a super comfortable bed. The room had a small (empty) fridge which I put my own water bottles in. The bathroom had large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and moisturiser as well as hand soap bars. Plenty of bath, hand and face towels. The shower was easy to use and the water ran hot (and clear) quite quickly. Large TV and remote, and bedside lamp with USB charger as well as an alarm clock, also with USB charging sockets Large wardrobe with plenty of hangers and a small safe (this didn’t work but I didn’t really need it anyway). When we checked out we left our bags, for a small fee, with the hotel while we had a final day exploring. The hotel has a large lobby with sofas and toilet facilities, and a cold water fountain. There is a separate bar area which served cocktails during the evening and breakfast I believe in the morning. All very convenient. The hotel has a doorway that leads straight in to Grand central station which is right next door. Overall the hotel was perfect for our visit, and having been slightly concerned about other negative reviews I was actually very pleased. I appreciate that not all rooms will necessarily be of the same standard, but I thought it would be helpful to balance those out with my own positive experience

It’s in a Great location, and can be accessed via Grand Central Station. The hotel is busy but spacious and calm, the room was a good size we had a double deluxe. Great views of outside, however the rooms are a little tired it has all the basic facilities and was clean. It also had a hair dryer which didn’t appear in the room details. Check in and out was quick and easy, and your bags can be stored for $4 each.

A pleasant surprise!

Just home from a 4 night trip. Was really concerned after reading reviews for this hotel so had low expectations but there was no need as the hotel was great! Yes there are no tea or coffee facilities and no mini bar but the room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The bathroom was a bathroom and did everything it needed to! The location is incredible. The 'market' shop with the $15 dollar credit meant we started the day with a coffee and pastry eaten in the lounge area and we were ready to go! The hotel team were helpful and we had no issues checking in/out, leaving luggage etc. For what we wanted and needed the hotel was great and would stay again.

Bad experience. Manager did not address issues. Valet was 90 dollars a day and provided terrible service. My worst experience. Do not stay here

Good location... and that ends the list of "pro's".

Great location, worse than expected in a lot of ways though. No minbar, no room service, and the in-lobby store closes very early. Was left with nothing to drink but tap water the first night, had to go back out and pay exorbitant street vendor prices. 2nd night I knew better and picked up some drinks at CVS while out, inconvenient to carry them around for half the day... Was promised a $15/day shop credit... so $30 for our 2-day stay. Store was closed by 10pm when we got back the first night, second night we came back early JUST to use our credit... then on the bill I was CHARGED $30 for the "Market All Day Food"... not credited $30. TV was crap if you care about that, I know a lot of people don't these days. Honestly how expensive would it be for hotels to give you at least ONE streaming service on the TV? I don't understand why they don't do this. No I didn't bring a roku dongle to plug in or an HDMI cable to connect my laptop, I shouldn't have to. Advertised at ~$300/night, ended up paying over $500/night after all fees, taxes, etc... which I suppose isn't unique to this hotel but still, we need a law about fairly advertised pricing.
