The location is great - but the hotel itself is quite mediocre for the price that you pay... There was ~$80 extra that had to be paid per day as part of some NYC tourism tax, so factor that into your costs.

First time staying here. Travel monthly to NYC for work. Switched from Marriott to Hilton, and immediately rebooking all of my stays this year back to the Marriott. Room outdated. Toilet looks like they grabbed it out of an old bar - push/pull metal handle and all. Not joking. I will not stay here again. Staff was nice, lobby was somewhat updated. Rooms need overhauled top to bottom. Apologies no photos, I was so unimpressed it never crossed my mind until the toilet would no longer flush no matter which way you pushed or pulled. ????? Also the shower was nearly impossible to turn on - pull the handle like you’re literally trying to break it!

The Hyatt Grand Central New York boasts a prime location, with iconic New York destinations like Times Square, Broadway, 5th Avenue, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, and the United Nations all within a 30-minute walk or less. Grand Central Terminal is conveniently located downstairs, providing easy access to the city via subway or train. While the facilities are satisfactory for the price, the staff's willingness to assist is commendable, upholding the standards expected from a global brand. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice and fancy hotel. Decorated very nice for Christmas. Room was very nice and clean. Was hit with unexpected expenses during check in. Lady at check in (not the one that checked us in) counter was not personable or friendly. The men at the main entrance were all very friendly and helpful with setting up a ride to the airport after checkout. Market prices are insane. Get drinks and snacks somewhere else and bring them to your room. 2 bottled waters were $16.

Excellent hotel and staff. The location at grand Central was convenient too and Hyatt services were good. We had 2 beds on high floor and the experience was good from Lobby to Room Over a period of 10 days I stated in 3 Hotels, Westin, Hyatt Place and Hyatt Grand Central. This was thr best of all. Westin at Grand Cebtral would come second and Hyatt Place on Times Square had excellent ataff however there rooms were too small. Overall Inlove Hyatt experience and there staff.
