This Doubletree is great! Close to universal (you can walk there), the staff is great, there is a pizza place and Starbucks attached to property. Pool is big and great for the kids. When I come to Orlando this is my preferred place to stay! Vinh, at the sunshine Cafe for breakfast is 10/10 and brand ambassadors on-site are awesome too! I could brag on this location all day! Will be back.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to go due to shutdown airports so had to cancel Tana so sweet waived my fee which is a nice gesture.

I have stayed at the Doubletree in the past because it is located within walking distance of Universal Studios. On this visit, I arrived on a Sunday evening to find that the hotel had somehow oversold it's rooms. When I arrived, I first waited an exceptionally long time at reception to then be told there was a possibility that they may have to move me to another property which was not near the park. However, after a long wait, they gave me a key to a room, and I went upstairs to find that the room was already occupied. I finally ended up being sent to another Hilton property, after having spent over an hour and a half onsite. The hotel comped my first night at the other hotel (however it was so late at that point that it was hardly a complete night's stay). I ended up having to Uber to the park the next day and was tired from my wait the night before. I would have preferred that the hotel communicate the issue clearly and promptly as soon as I arrived at check in so that I could have attempted to make other plans.

A bit delayed to write my review, but felt it necessary as it was a wonderful experience with the family of 5 members and it would be injustice not to express my satisfaction of having stayed 11 days at this property. A first time experience in USA for us from Pakistan which was quite pleasant and memorable. Everyone at the hotel from the concierge to the front desk, the restaurant American Grill & Sunshine Cafe, room service, and universal park help desk were genuinely friendly. The hotel staff we met the most were at Sunshine Cafe which was a great start of each day for us. Special thanks to Brenda and Vinh to make us feel extra welcome, Jean who always had a big smile on his face, Naira who gave advice on where to find halal food options, and last but not least Ernest who was able to reach out in his own unique way. The property was just as we expected, the rooms were clean, the bedding very comfortable, daily room service was efficient and laundry room equipment was in good condition.

Arrival was terrible. 4pm and room was not ready and asked to wait. But them told not to sit on the reception and lobby areas they. Ave a vip large Asian wedding and they don’t want us in the photos as they were going to video. Told to go on other side and sit down in The American Grill. When we got there it was sealed off with sign saying private event. There were a lot of staff waiting for the event toarrive - all of them (including the managers) just ignored any guests arriving - no Greeting - no porter help etc - soo disappointing and left to feel that you are im the way (even as a Diamond Member) When we got to our room it was an interconnecting with a dog next door, great to hear the dog barking every night. Really logical to put into an interconnecting room? Good location for Universal, good sized parking (but charged $33 a day to park) Could do with better signage inside the hotel to find where the café, bar and restaurants are located.
