Daniel Galvin Assistant Front Desk Manager Deserves a Raise

Charlie H on Jan 09, 2026

I'm sumitting this review soley due to the exceptional service that I received from Daniel Galvin. I am traveling on business and Daniel made adjustments to my reservation seemless. Most importantly, he was remarkably kind and made me smile. I will come back to this property everytime I'm in the area due to Dan's kind and accomodating nature.

Great resort, amazing staff!

dugnrie126 (Royersford, Pennsylvania) on Jan 09, 2026

This was my second time staying at Rosen Shingle Creek and once again it was great! The resort and its amenities are fantastic, and I cannot say enough about the staff! We arrived on Christmas Eve with no set plans for dinner and ended up at Cala Bella restaurant in the resort. We had an amazing dinner thanks in no small part to our server - Kristina who helped guide us through the menu! Outstanding customer service. The grounds of the hotel were well decorated and super clean. The pool bar and staff on Christmas Day were also welcoming, had us all laughing, and made some amazing cocktails! The only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is that the rooms were a bit dated and very dimly lit. That being said, they were spotless and well maintained, just in need of a little 'refresh' in our opinion but that would definitely not stop us from returning or recommending the resort!

Great resort in the Orlando area.

Frank M (Florida) on Jan 05, 2026

We spent two nights at The Rosen Shingle Creek Resort while attending the Pop Tarts Bowl Game. This was the hotel for The Georgia Tech Football Team. The hotel staff were great. A young man named Daniel checked us in. Daniel was very polite, friendly, professional and helpful. He answered all of our questions and provided recommendations on things to do in the area. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The breakfast buffet had many choices and the service was outstanding. The Mexican Restaurant and the food offerings in the bar were all good and Philly Cheesesteak Flatbread was outstanding. We didn’t have an opportunity to play the Golf Course but from what we saw, it looked like a nice resort course. When checking out, I left a Quarter Zip Pullover in the room. When I got home and realized I had forgotten the item, I called the hotel. I was transferred to Security. They quickly located my item and offered to mail it to me. I was happily surprised that my item was found and that the hotel was shipping the item to me for free! We travel to Orlando frequently and we will return to The Rosen at Shingle Creek Resort while!

Beautiful hotel, peaceful and quiet

lazilyc (United Kingdom) on Dec 13, 2025

This was our first stay at Shingle Creek and we loved it. We’ve been to Orlando a lot and decided we wanted to be away from the theme park bubble for some peace and quiet and this was perfect for that. There were a few events going on while we stayed but that never really effected our stay except for taking a while to get an elevator over thanksgiving weekend with the cheerleader competition staying there. Our room was huge and we had a beautiful view of the golf course and epic universe! The pool was so quiet everytime we went and while we only had a handful of hot days we absolutely loved spending time by the pool. The hotel itself is beautiful and we had heard the odd comment about it being ‘dated’ before we went and I’d just like to say those comments are wrong. The decor is beautiful and cosy and it’s just got a great atmosphere. Everything was clean and tidy and practical. For us the only downside was food, we found the breakfast buffet very expensive so tried to eat out and the location isn’t great for that. There’s a few options a walkable distance at the end of the driveway but with crossing the road it is about a 20-25 minute walk each way, so without having a car we found ourselves using DoorDash a lot, especially after a long day out. The marketplace shop does have cheaper options but the menu is quite small. But that issue is quite specific to us as we are quite simple eaters with a smaller appetite so we don’t want to spend $37 each everyday on a breakfast buffet. Overall we would absolutely stay again but I think we would get a car next time to make our lives a bit easier to nip out and get dinner or breakfast.

Great Family Resort

Lina T (Tampa, Florida) on Dec 08, 2025

What a great resort to visit during Thanksgiving week. The rooms are spacious, the staff is friendly. The resort has pools, multiple restaurants, golf course on site, a nature walking trail, parking on site, spa and gym. you do not need to leave the resort at all. Right across the stree there is a burger joint, Publix grcoery store in case you wish to grab some items.
