Beautiful hotel, peaceful and quiet

lazilyc (United Kingdom) on Dec 13, 2025

This was our first stay at Shingle Creek and we loved it. We’ve been to Orlando a lot and decided we wanted to be away from the theme park bubble for some peace and quiet and this was perfect for that. There were a few events going on while we stayed but that never really effected our stay except for taking a while to get an elevator over thanksgiving weekend with the cheerleader competition staying there. Our room was huge and we had a beautiful view of the golf course and epic universe! The pool was so quiet everytime we went and while we only had a handful of hot days we absolutely loved spending time by the pool. The hotel itself is beautiful and we had heard the odd comment about it being ‘dated’ before we went and I’d just like to say those comments are wrong. The decor is beautiful and cosy and it’s just got a great atmosphere. Everything was clean and tidy and practical. For us the only downside was food, we found the breakfast buffet very expensive so tried to eat out and the location isn’t great for that. There’s a few options a walkable distance at the end of the driveway but with crossing the road it is about a 20-25 minute walk each way, so without having a car we found ourselves using DoorDash a lot, especially after a long day out. The marketplace shop does have cheaper options but the menu is quite small. But that issue is quite specific to us as we are quite simple eaters with a smaller appetite so we don’t want to spend $37 each everyday on a breakfast buffet. Overall we would absolutely stay again but I think we would get a car next time to make our lives a bit easier to nip out and get dinner or breakfast.

Great Family Resort

Lina T (Tampa, Florida) on Dec 08, 2025

What a great resort to visit during Thanksgiving week. The rooms are spacious, the staff is friendly. The resort has pools, multiple restaurants, golf course on site, a nature walking trail, parking on site, spa and gym. you do not need to leave the resort at all. Right across the stree there is a burger joint, Publix grcoery store in case you wish to grab some items.

Large hotel. Very clean and comfortable .

TonyPaz (Ashford, United Kingdom) on Dec 07, 2025

A lovely clean and friendly large hotel. RECEPTION: The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. ROOMS: Good size rooms, consisting of two large beds, TV, kettle. fridge, hair dryer, robes, towels, shampoo, shower gel, soap etc. Very comfortable. POOLS: Lovely swimming pools, towels provided, changing/toilet facilities. SHOP: There is a small shop on the ground floor, selling snacks, sandwiches, drinks, clothing, sun cream, toiletries etc. FOOD COURT: Next to the shop. Small area selling pizza, hot and cold sandwiches, chicken strips, chips, salad etc Ice cream. There is also a small sitting area to eat. It's all a bit cramped and not a very pleasant place to have to eat. Better taking your food and drink outside. Could do with improving this area of the hotel. BREAKFAST: Excellent breakfast choices. Caters for everyone, hot and cold dishes. The table servers were amazing, excellent service. OVERALL: We would visit this hotel again.

Great Amenities and Dining, But Rooms Need Urgent Renovation

Nastasya K (Krakow, Poland) on Nov 14, 2025

This hotel has many great features: an excellent breakfast buffet, beautiful common areas, two swimming pools with free towels (you can take as many as you need), water dispensers by the pools, and plenty of dining options including Starbucks, food courts, and upscale restaurants. The free shuttle to Universal Studios is a big plus. However, the rooms are outdated and need urgent renovation. Our mattress was dirty, windows don’t open, and the air conditioning system is so old and loud that it was impossible to use. The fridge was also noisy and interrupted my sleep. The hotel is huge, so expect a lot of people and not enough shaded loungers by the pool. Restaurant staff were very nice, but the hostess assigning tables was not friendly and consistently gave us the worst tables even when better ones were available. Another thing to note: the hotel is quite far from downtown and all the theme parks, so plan for extra travel time if you want to explore beyond Universal Studios. Overall, it’s a nice hotel with great amenities, but the rooms—especially the air conditioning system—need a serious upgrade.
