We stayed at The Rosen Shingle Creek for 11 nights and were very impressed with every aspect of this hotel. We used this as our base for visiting Universal Studios and also the Walt Disney resorts and it was perfect for what we needed.
Driving up the road towards the hotel is a magnificent sight, made better by the amazing Christmas lights they had decorated the hotel and grounds with.
The facilities here are excellent. 3 swimming pools which were heated to a lovely temperature and meant we could swim first thing in the morning even when the weather was a bit cool. It also has a shop on site which stocks just about everything, a great bar, and lots of high quality restaurants. I don't play golf but the golf course also looked spectacular!
One thing we were concerned about was that it was €28 per night to park our car. For 11 nights this would cost us over €300 which we thought was expensive. However when we checked out the receptionist told us that we wouldn't need to pay for parking which was great. That was the one thing that would have put us off returning here if we had to pay such extortionate parking charges so this was a welcome surprise!
In summary, Orlando is a fantastic place which offers everything you could ever want. We found this hotel absolutely perfect, from the staff, the facilities and the location. When we return to Orlando this is the first hotel we will look at booking.

Second visit, after a disappointing one in 2019, we had contact with hotel management and were assured we would be looked after if we gave them another chance.
The front desk staff are still barely acceptable, who is training these people? Again the breakfast was awful, there was trash strewn around the place and the waiters were terrible I saw at least three of them just walk past unattended tables and past Christmas wrapping paper on the floor. They were not busy with only about 18 people dining.
Now the good news…
Land remembered restaurant service and food excellent served by Jorge and latterly Bryon. The food at the bar Cala Bella? Was amazing the drinks excellent but most of all it comes down to having a great bartender and Bryon is certainly a great bartender, absolutely spot on, friendly polite courteous knowledgeable and a credit to the industry! The golf course was fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 rounds. Please have a word though with both the surly unfriendly ladies in the pro shop they are letting the side down. I had hired a set of clubs the previous day and informed her that I didn’t receive complimentary balls the day before, she just said oh without looking at me I repeated this twice until the chap next to her gave me an extra sleeve. Commented to him that, that was the sort of response I was looking for in a 4/5 star hotel.
Got to say though we loved our holiday and meeting some lovely people from US and Canada.
Thanks to Bryon, Jorge and Jay.
A land remembered restaurant

We have been staying at the RSC for almost 2 weeks and leave on Thursday.
Overall the experience has been good and we have been coming here for many years. We are here to celebrate my daughters 40th Birthday and decided to make a reservation at the Land Remembered last Friday. It was an expensive meal, $500 and to say we were disappointed with the food and service is an understatement. To kick off they tried to give us a table in the bar despite booking a specific table in the restaurant. My husbands steak was over cooked and was returned to the kitchen. By the time his new meal arrived we had all finished our meal because they had only been lukewarm when they arrived. The accompaniments my husband had originally ordered were stone cold and when he mentioned this to the waiter he just said he’d take them off the bill which resulted in my husband just having steak!! I rang the restaurant manager the next morning to complain and she just apologised and said she hoped they’d do better when we next visited- no chance!! Overall a very disappointing reaction bordering on indifference. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone
King in a Palace

The property is gorgeous, the service excellent. I felt like a king in a palace. I stayed there while in Orlando for a convention at the Orange County Convention Center which is just 10 minutes away. I left my wedding band in the room, I don't know how I did that. I've been married 19 years and have never lost my wedding band before. I was sick. After I traveled back home to Indiana, I called Rosen Shingle Creek not expecting them to have it. To my surprise the housekeeper turned it in to lost and found and I now have my wedding ring back thanks to the house keeper and security officer Alex Sarris who nicely mailed it to me. I am very grateful to the housekeeper, Mr Sarris and Rosen Shingle Creek. Rosen Shingle Creek is truly an amazing place! I will be staying at Rosen Shingle Creek whenever I find myself in Orlando in the future.
Massive resort in Orlando

Was originally supposed to stay at the sister property Rosen Centre hotel for three nights but they were booked so my office put us up here one night. Great amenities if you are a golfer or have kids that love swimming pools. The room was suprisingly quiet for such a massive hotel. Our group liked the restaurants at this location better than at the Rosen Centre. Room was clean and check in and check out (leave your key in a kiosk) were seamless. We also had dinner at the adjacent steakhouse, and while the food was good, the service was a little odd. I'm not a golfer so I wouldn't have booked this for myself but it was perfectly fine for a business stay.
