The service at this hotel is fantastic by every staff member. Great potential here but a few cons. I wish they still had the option to not purchase the all-inclusive as the food options are very limited. You can have buffet for every meal, go to the Mexican restaurant which did not have vegetarian options (1 of us is vegetarian), go to the snack bar which again had few veg. options unless you consider french fries or nachos with cheese sauce an option. The snack bar was basically burgers and dogs. For a Mexican hotel, they really had very few mexican food options. The Sat. Fiesta buffet was great and then I think they had one other buffet night that had mexican options. The food in the buffet was ok, but as I am not a fan of buffets, we ate out a few times. The pizza place across the street is excellent, and the food on the Malecon is pretty good wherever you go. It would be nice if they opened the Mexican restaurant for a la carte breakfast and lunch. This hotel does not really offer poolside games or entertainment, which is ok by me as it was relatively quiet, with good music, but if you are into lots of activities this isn't it. The beach is a close walk and is a great place to watch the beautiful sunsets! This hotel is also walking distance to the Porto Magico where most of the boat tours and cruise ships are. Overall a great stay and as I mentioned the staff is all fantastic with special kudos to Eric at the pool and the bartenders at the snack bar! This is a family friendly hotel with many return clients.

I stayed here for ten days in April. My family knew we were booking a budget hotel so set our expectations accordingly. We all enjoyed the food, thought there was a fairly good variety. We went to the a la carte twice and enjoyed it but we're just as happy with the buffet. Staff were attentive and helpful. One even made sure, without our asking, my mom had a pot of coffee set on her balcony every morning (she is a very early riser). We always found chairs at the beach (never swam in the pool) surprisingly as it's not a large area. It's inconvenient to walk to the beach, no bathroom, but we were aware that is why this hotel is affordable. But it's a short walk, not farther than walking across a large all inclusive facility. Room was clean, one complaint is pillows were very thick. We were worried about street noise but that wasn't a problem for us even though we were street level along the main road. Room AC works. Fan drowns out a lot of noise. Perfect location for us as we intended to take the city bus around town. Rooms have a window from the bathroom to the main room which is weird and inconvenient. Only negative event was my niece's souvenirs went missing from our room. Nothing of great value but extra disappointing for a child who spent her own money to purchase them. (We and concierge turned the room and out belongings inside out looking for it). There is a safe in the room so we definitely recommend using it for valuables and making sure your items aren't laying around. If you are a budget traveler and have done your research then you'll enjoy this place.

We have stayed at this resort a number of times over the yrs(since 2000) and again chose to come back again because of the small quaintness and having a great stay over the years. We had another great stay this time ... The staff are friendly and really go out of their way, especially at the buffet and snack bars... The food was really good and alot of variety... drinks were good as well, with great service from David at the snack bar... Eduardo in the buffet is an absolute gem, such a wonderful young man... Our room was on the ground floor facing the pool, so we were close to everything. The only problem with the room was our toilet was leaking around the floor and the shower did not really have an well streamed spray.. We did go to the front desk to ask for maintenance to come and fix it . We were asked what time we would be there & after giving them a time,, maintenance never came... So, we just made due.. not the end of the world lol. just took a little longer to get shampoo out of our hair and soap off the body lol.. The wifi was good in eating areas and around the pool... If we had any huge disappointment, it was the that we arrived at the hotel before 12 noon(we arrived at 10:45) and were given paper bands and told to come back at 12 then we could have access to food... We asked if we could go to the snack bar just to get a pop & water & were promptly told "no".. We were told that we have to go find something outside of the hotel and when we come back we would have access to food. All we wanted was a drink as it was quite warm already. To be dismissed like that was quite surprising to us.. So we really didn't see the point of giving us paper bands.. If you want to have any type of eggs or omlettes then you must order them with the QR code. We did see many not doing that & those of us who did use the code still waited while families walked up and took priority... .. My suggestion to the hotel would be either get ride of the QR or enforce it... All in all... we had a great time even with the little glitches & will defiinately be back..

We stayed here for 8 days and we had a phenomenal time here. The staff here are really friendly and do their best to accommodate the guest's needs. Yessica, the omelette cook memorized my partner's dietary restrictions and made her orders accordingly. Juan, the buffet server is quite attentive by remembering us and our drinks preferences. Alfredo, the restaurant server is amazing. Not only did he memorize my partner's dietary restrictions, he made sure to find other foods to serve her that would be different each day. On Thurs evenings there is a seafood night and Sat evenings they have a Mexican night where it is a big buffet with live music, be sure to schedule your meal time there.

We had the pleasure to stay at the Hacienda for our second time. The food was excellent. The staff are all super nice and as a tourist, we felt welcomed and certainly valued. I would recommend this place any time to anyone. We are looking forward to book another vacation at the Hacienda. Thank you so much for having us.
