We arrived on Christmas Day. The hotel is well situated close to the airport, and check-in was easy. We knew from our research that the hotel does not have a gym and is not located directly on the beach, so we cannot complain about that. The short walk to the beach was pleasant, and there is also a shuttle available. The hotel has a designated beach area for guests, along with a bar. We never had trouble finding chairs. The staff were very personable and pleasant. The food was good, with something for everyone. The New Year’s buffet was remarkable, and there was a live show throughout the night. The staff truly outdid themselves. The à la carte restaurant is only open Monday to Friday. We dined there twice; even if we had gone more often, the menu would have felt repetitive. Special mention to Ivan, server-bartender, who works incredibly hard and whose efforts did not go unnoticed. Alfredo at the restaurant also made our dining experience very pleasant. In conclusion, I would not describe this place as a resort, but rather as a hotel offering amenities, drinks, and food. There are no daytime activities by the pool, and there are many families with children.

Staff were great. Rooms when cleaned did not replace toilet paper that was our. Sheet for King bed was replaced with a twin sheet did not cover two people. Rooms were quite. Air conditioner worked well but loud. Close to Marina. Felt very safe. Staff at Bar were great. Could use umbrellas on higher area so more people can sit out by pool. With beach so far it would have been nice to use those chairs in that area.

A much needed vacation- was well taken care of. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Luminosa was an exceptional maid and made sure we had everything we needed and wanted to feel at home.

Carlos Quintero was absolutely fantastic! Wonderful service and a glowing personality! The room wasn't the best, the air conditioning didn't work well and the water in the shower was inconsistent, but the food and service was terrific!

We (my wife, our toddler, and I) stayed at Hacienda Buenaventura for 7 days recently, and overall it was a very pleasant experience. Traveling to Mexico with a toddler and a vegetarian diet, I was initially a bit concerned that food options might be limited or that things could be inconvenient. Thankfully, we did not face any issues during our stay. While the buffet options are not extensive, the food that is available is well-prepared and genuinely tasty. There was always something we could enjoy without stress. While I enjoyed sipping my margheritas, kid loved the plentiful juice options and variety of breakfast options. We especially loved spending time by the pool and at the beach — both were relaxing and family-friendly, making it easy to keep our toddler happy. The atmosphere of the resort is calm and laid-back, which worked perfectly for us. Another big plus for us was warm water in showers; pool was room temperature. The service deserves a special mention. The staff are friendly, respectful, and very accommodating. Whether it was at the buffet, front desk, room service, bar, or around the resort, everyone made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. Few things to highlight - 1) This area is away from the Malecon, Romantic Zone and it's beaches. It still is beautiful neighbourhood and uber connectivity to Malecon is cheap and quick. 2) Staying with diet restrictions here might get bit tricky. Ask the resort in advance with your needs; they are really responsive. 3) Wifi is sketchy. We didn't needed it a lot during our trip, but just in case you need a fast wifi, you'd have to sit somewhere around the ground floor near the reception. Overall, Hacienda Buenaventura exceeded our expectations for a small, charming all-inclusive. We would happily stay here again in a heartbeat, especially as a family with young children.
