I had a great experience with my stay here. The hotel is very peaceful and relaxing. The location is great for walking and it is right on the beach. The staff are all very attentive and kind. I also had the pleasure of being helped by Daniel L. I forgot my headphones in my room and he helped mail them back to me. He was very communicative, kind, and professional. I look forward to booking with them in the future!

We really loved staying at the Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel & Mexican Charm in Puerto Vallarta for a week, even though it was just 2 days after the Cartel violence but everything was back to normal and of very high quality at the Hacienda Buenaventura! All services were fully operational and up to their very high standards, as was the case throughout the city of Puerto Vallarta when we went out to explore. You’ll love your visit to the Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel & Mexican Charm too! It’s very safe and the people there are great!

This resort is a hidden gem that we stumbled on 10 years ago by total accident. That was our 37th trip to Mexico and 10th to Puerto Vallarta. We just returned from our 48th visit to Mexico and 20th to PV and they have all been to the Hacienda Buenaventura since! This place just grows on you. The staff from the Maids to the Manager feel like family and the best of friends. Can't say enough about these people.

Check in done fairly smooth, the receptionist did not give us towel cards as needed. The dine in experience is fine at the restaurant Sabores de Mexico in the hotel as the service provided by Mesero, Alfredo and hostess, Gabriela are outstanding, and the food is good. The pool service guy, Salvador is always friendly and helpful to get me lougers and towels when in need. The hotel premise and room are maintained clean. It will be better if more life entertainment at daytime and evenings can be arranged. The air conditioner is not cool enough for us. Staff are courteous onsite generally.

Our second stay at this very charming hotel was made even better as we were already familiar with both the hotel and the surrounding area. The location is terrific being close to the airport, the marina district and shopping. It is about a 35 minute walk down to the start of the Malecon but only a very quick cab trip. I would (and did when I could,) like to thank all the staff personally as the service levels are top notch (as other folks have mentioned.) A special shout out to the breakfast crew whose smiling faces (and great service) started each of our days there on a great note. The concierge was very helpful in booking us a great tour of the botanical gardens and it is easy to arrange many different kinds of tours right there. Another special mention of the onsite restaurant separate from the general buffet. The service was excellent, the food was fresh, well prepared and presented. It was one of our dining highlights during our visit. The hotel is a little vintage but everything was functional and comfortable in our room. The feeling of welcome and traditional Mexican hospitality begins on arrival and only ends on departure. The grounds and public spaces are both clean and well maintained. The louder shows always wrapped by about 10 PM so we didn't think the night noise situation was an issue. As both our excursions started early AM, on at least two nights we crashed out early with no problem. I was at the beach almost every day and as folks have mentioned, there is bar service but the occasional trip back to the lobby for relief (a short walk,) was required. Outside of that, the beach is very good there.
