Easy access to excursions, within walking distance to marina . Easy uber ride to airport. Can walk or Uber easily to eat, shop. Close to gas station, grocery stores. Very authentic place to stay with beautiful decor and vegetation. Priced well for a package with flight for 5 nights and 6 days.AC in room was biggest issue and Ana at front desk was rude.

if you are looking just for the stay its ok but for all inclusive not recommended. They dont inform you that they can take you downtown or that you can buy excursions there a bit cheaper. They do not communicate well. Front desk staff look so unhappy.

I love Jatziri. She is the best . I will never forget her. My first tome in Puerto Vallarta and she was amazing. So kind so sweet. Ready to help. She really looked out for us. Every morning I looked for her. I'm from America and I felt like I was home when I seen her.. I'll never forget her. Thank you jatziri, all away from Pittsburgh pa 15216.. we love you.. thank you..
Truly A 3-Star Experience

Hotel Buenaventura is one of the more economically-priced hotels in the area for being all-inclusive. We were told upon booking that the food was excellent, and even though it was buffet style and most of the time did not look too appealing, and most of the cuts were very cheap (dark meat chicken, virtually no seafood, pork, etc.), it actually was very flavorful. The pastry selection was always fresh and delicious and the bread was always soft and plentiful. The facilities do need a little bit of an update, though the style is in the old hacienda style, so I would not expect the style to change. There are small things like the AC not getting cooler than we would have liked, the bathroom door hinges being slightly off so that it was hard to open and shut it, and the sliding closet door not sliding unless you put some muscle into it. The pool water was warm and clean, despite not being chlorinated. Every morning there were staff out there clearing out the debris and there were a lot of people on watch. Pancho the Iguana made a few appearances. I'm not a fan of wild animals being kept in captivity as pets of any kind, but he seems to be okay and he can defend himself against unruly kids. Antonio, the morning server, who has been there for more than 25 years provides some of the best service I have ever had in any hotel. I work in hotels and I know a gem when I see one. He is caring and attentive. We would go back there simply to have breakfast with him. We probably won't come back to stay now that we are more familiar with PV, but it was still a good experience, and a great family-friendly and well-priced option.

The staff here are warm and welcoming at this all-inclusive resort hotel. We stayed for three weeks in our very comfy room. For several evenings a week, we received bedtime turndown service, including an offer of fresh towels and complimentary toiletries. So nice! Special shout-out to Efren, Karina, Roberto, Alfredo, David, Candi, and Miriam. They all made our stay very pleasant. We recommend this for travellers seeking a Mexican experience, not a this-hotel-could-be-anywhere-in-the-world experience. The heated pool is busy and boisterous, especially in the afternoon and early evening. The beach is nearby with bar service right to your chair! The hotel is well situated close to the Galleria, the harbour, and a Chedraui grocery store.
