Good for price

wattsjana (Springfield, Missouri) on Apr 26, 2024

Beautiful beach and location. Rooms are clean and spacious. Service was mediocre. Buffet not the greatest but restaurants had great food. Overall worth it for the price of a family of 6 plus a baby.

Nice resort but got sick with diarrhea

Sightseer543734 on Apr 25, 2024

The resort itself is very nice; pools are lukewarm; night shows very nice; music at the bar nice just little too loud; shower pressure in the room is good; food is ok -they have to control the flies at the buffet (as other reviews have written); some days the food was better at the buffet than other days.....some days the meat (lamb, beef were not even chewable and chicken overdried) and other days the chicken in sauce was great; so they need consistency; but since I and my family members and also other resort quests have gotten sick w/ diarrhea, I could not recommend visiting the resort again; they have to get to the bottom of this problem; either water is not being filtered enough or other hygiene measures have to be implemented. This is the most important point for management to listen to/ to pay attention to.

Amazing Momma Bear Trip

liliagreatrix on Apr 25, 2024

I just returned from Dreams La Romana, vacationing with my 17 year old daughter and 3 year old son. I’ve vacationed a lot, but this was the best one of my life <3. The resort is the most family-friendly that I’ve been to, so perfect for my getaway with my kiddies. We ate well. Drank well. Loved all of the pools and the beach. The most beautiful beach that I’ve ever seen! The staff were amazing, and you could definitely see how much they truly cared. The property is beautiful. I don’t often go to places more than once, but I’m truly in love, and will likely be back :)

Would love to come back!

morganshell11 (Brookville, Ohio) on Apr 25, 2024

We had a wonderful time at this resort. Many of the workers were kind, entertaining, and hardworking. The resort was beautiful and well kept. Every morning, they had landscapers out. We enjoyed the shows and also attended the show and buffet, Asado. We enjoyed the food at the buffet and many of the restaurants. Our only complaint is that the seaside grill had very long wait times. Otherwise, we had a great trip and would love to come back. I would like to highlight some of the staff that made our trip great! Brahain M. - He is a server in the buffet. We enjoyed seeing him daily for breakfast and lunch. He was very kind and hilarious. He offered great drink suggestions and our large group looked forward to seeing him daily. What a hard worker! Ignacio - server at buffet, restaurants, and asado. Melain (I’m not sure if I am spelling her name correctly) - poolside/bar manatees waitress. Our family loved her!! Junior - bellman. Very helpful!! Gustavo - butler for preferred guests in our group. He does a great job! Luis Angel - check out process. Claudio - bar manatees. Also, I regrettably cannot recall their names, the server and bartender that worked the wedding on 4/18/24 were absolutely wonderful!! I think the bartender’s name was Bruce, but the server should absolutely be recognized too. All of the above workers (and many others that I cannot recall names or that were behind the scenes!) contributed to our group having an amazing trip.

Great Stay but buffet needs an improvement

60763TatyanaE (New York City, New York) on Apr 24, 2024

I recently stayed at Dreams Dominicus La Romana Hotel and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is meticulously maintained, with spacious and clean rooms that offer a comfortable stay. I highly recommend opting for the Preferred Club, as the beach area and service provided there are top-notch. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service provided by our Preferred Club representative, Gustavo. He went above and beyond to ensure our vacation was memorable, assisting with everything from arranging special occasions like my father's birthday to everyday needs like restaurant reservations and even securing a birthday cake. Gustavo's dedication and attentiveness truly enhanced our stay. While the hotel itself and the Preferred Club service were excellent, there is room for improvement in the buffet area. The food selection, plates, and replenishment process could use some attention. Often, when certain items ran out, the buffet staff seemed slow to replace them, leading to longer wait times and frustration among guests. Additionally, there is a need for better customer service in the buffet area, as it was challenging to find staff to bring drinks or hot tea/coffee, resulting in unnecessary delays. Moreover, while there is a decent variety of authentic Dominican cuisine available, the buffet could benefit from a broader selection, particularly for those seeking alternatives to Dominican dishes. Breakfast options could also be improved, as some items like cottage cheese or yogurt were not consistently available during breakfast hours. Despite these shortcomings in the buffet area, the overall maintenance of the hotel is commendable, with cleanliness being a priority throughout the property. Therefore, I still highly recommend La Romana Hotel Dreams for a pleasant and memorable vacation experience, especially if you opt for the Preferred Club service.
