Not as described

thecostaco (Southampton, New York) on Sep 02, 2024

We were very excited to take our kids here, it looked great in the pictures. We were very disappointed in the conditions of the hotel in comparison to the photos. The rooms are worn down, there’s barely any water pressure in the bathroom sinks, the beach water is very dark, its smaller than it seems in the pictures as well. They have all the kids things off to a corner of the hotel, like hidden. The lounge chairs there are broken, its a very sad corner to be honestly. The staff was friendly and trying theyre best but the air conditioning was not great so they were sweating so much and it was uncomfortable to eat in the heat. If your looking somewhere fun for the kids and adults thats a small place and you want to send your kids off to a corner and not see them come here, otherwise find some place else.

This place was very professional. Service was excellent and food was great! They treated us so nice and were very patient with our big group. We appreciated that so much! I recommend this place for all guests. Options for everybody, something different to try!

Family trip to cancun

KyrieAshJones (Mission Viejo, California, United States) on Sep 01, 2024

Marisol and Manuel were awesome employees that greeted us our first night and created a fun environment! The hotel is very family friendly and the kids pool was perfect for small children and toddlers. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Crocodiles on the beach and not managed

jonathansale7 on Sep 01, 2024

Great hotel but worn out Can’t swim in the sea due to crocs and dark brown water No advice or guidance for croc Just says you can swim but they are next to the beach There are no signs unless you walk down the beach to leave the resort which is not acceptable Other hotels on the same beach managed this much better with security advice and special flags Also Hotel worn out with paint coming off walls in room etc Splash park is worn out with wood covering it up Over Half the sun loungers are broken They have sunken meaning you are laying directly on the metal bars Strong sewage smell around resort from mangroves Breakfast buffet small Compared to others but when full it is good food A lot of breakfast chairs smelt as material and people come in wet from the pool Aircon broke in alll but one toilet onsite Lift broken on multiple occasions Both sides of hotel and power outages so no aircon Over charged at spa as we were preferred and should of got 25% off Also didn’t get preferred sun loungers or private cafe area as didn’t know Lot of dirt all around resort food and wrappers etc Meant to be kid friendly but it’s really not There was a wet bed from our child and they immediately tried to charge us for this This has never happened at any hotel we have ever stayed in

Family and Adults Only mean something

R8tdLuxury (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) on Sep 01, 2024

Upon arrival the resort is beautiful!!! The ambiance, the grounds of the resort are just stunning! The suite was quite nice and I truly enjoyed my ocean view suite. The jacuzzi was behind a wall so using it to view the ocean was not an option. The pool area near the bar is problematic. Children shouldn’t be near this part of the resort at all. As a Preferred Guest, I expected that there are adults only areas that exclude families like the swim up pool. There was too much splashing and parents intentionally not minding their children at the pool. I wish that there was more music native to Mexico on the resort! Why am I in Mexico and cannot embrace their culture wholly in such a beautiful place? The specialty restaurants need work. While the service and the menu options are great, it’s like it’s just barely missed the mark with the presentation and overall taste of the dishes. The hibachi was the best I had on the resort. The chefs were engaging and the food was really good! Aside from this, the views were amazing. The resort was immaculate and the staff was sublime. I understand the resort is under a corporate structure, but the culture of Mexico is beautiful and should be present and experienced fully.
