Resort was beautiful and customer service was great! Rooms were clean. Bars were great and the buffet was surprisingly pretty good. The restaurants were ok not great.

Good service, needs more things to do.

This is one the smaller resorts I've been too, which you could look at as a good thing or a bad thing. Pros: you can always find your party easily, and it's not as crowded. Cons: not as many activities. It was a little chilly when we went, so the pools were colder (but still heated) and the ocean has crocodiles in it sometimes (so listen to the lifeguards when they tell you to get out). I wish there was a tennis or pickleball court to have another activity to do, because we all felt restless after about 4 days (we were there for 9). The snorkeling was terrible every day as well. We did get a room upgrade to a gorgeous suite that overlooked the ocean--the best room I've ever stayed in. It had a hot tub, and jet bathtub and a rain shower with a L shaped balcony. Shoutout to Fernando our butler who was very helpful the whole time. The food was not the greatest. I found the buffet at dinner to be good on the Spanish and French night, and the French restaurant was good. Himitsu was not filling enough for the hibachi, but the other side of it was alright. Their breakfast at the buffet was the best in my opinion. The omelet station (Alberto made the best, and was very nice), and Jonathan our waiter were excellent, and the fresh fruit was nice. Jose (French waiter) and Jesus (pool waiter) were both very good too. Amanda from activities was very charismatic and engaging and got people to do activities everyday. Yoga by the ocean was really nice as well from Alexis (travelling yoga instructor). Overall, I don't think I'd be back mainly due to the lack of things to do for our big family. The service was great, food was alright, it was clean and nice overall, but not enough activities for me.

Wonderful trip with more pros than cons

We stayed at Dreams Natura Cancun as a family this past December over New Year’s and overall had a very enjoyable trip. We booked two Preferred Club Junior Suite Oceanview King rooms. Our room was 3508 and my mom stayed in 3504 (Family Club). She was pleasantly upgraded and received a complimentary Dreams tote bag which was a nice touch. Both rooms were on the 5th floor of the preferred building closest to the beach and the views were amazing. Sitting on the balcony in the early morning with a coffee, watching the sunrise over the ocean, was one of my favourite daily rituals. The rooms themselves were comfortable and clean. My son loved the jacuzzi tub although the jets were very strong and resulted in water splashing everywhere. The resort was spotless. Every morning we saw staff cleaning the pools; skimming leaves, washing the pool stairs and washing walkways throughout the property. It really showed how much pride they take in maintaining the resort. When it came to dining, the experience was mixed. Our second-favourite restaurant was the Italian, which was quite good. The fresh bread with olive oil and vinegar at the table was a nice touch and my cheese pizza was genuinely very good. We also enjoyed a few mornings at Ocean Grille for a sit-down served breakfast. Since we were Preferred Club, this breakfast access felt like the only real perk beyond the view, which made the added cost feel a bit underwhelming. The restaurant reservation system was honestly one of the most frustrating parts of the trip. Having to log into the app at midnight to book dinner reservations felt unnecessary on vacation. I found myself refreshing the app at odd hours (1 a.m., 5 a.m.) just hoping something would open up. Over a 7-night stay, we only managed to secure three reservations. Our favourite by far was the hibachi restaurant. The food was excellent and the chef was friendly, engaging, and entertaining. The chair game during New Year’s week was intense. People were reserving chairs as early as 6 a.m. and despite signs stating chairs couldn’t be left unattended for more than 30 minutes, the rule was never enforced. I joined in out of necessity, heading down daily with towels, books, clothes pegs and a deck of cards to claim chairs. The first few days I went at 6:30 a.m. but once the resort hit maximum capacity, I had to start going down at 6 a.m. sharp. Food overall was just okay. My family rated it about a 6/10. The main buffet had a very good breakfast and decent dinner options, but it felt smaller than other resorts we’ve stayed at. One big disappointment for us was the lack of a custom-made pasta station, which is usually a favourite for my son. Lunch and dinner felt like they were missing a few key options. The coffee shop was excellent, with a lot of drink choices and a lovely pastry display each morning. Bar service was fantastic and staff were constantly offering drinks. Service throughout the resort was genuinely excellent. The spa was one of the biggest highlights of our trip. My husband and I did a water therapy circuit followed by an 80-minute massage and it was one of the best massage experiences we’ve ever had. The locker rooms were beautiful, with showers fully stocked with soap and amenities. The spa gift shop at check-in was lovely. I picked up bath salts and handmade soaps as souvenirs. There is one main gift shop on-site with souvenirs, snacks, and all the usual resort essentials. One area we really appreciated as a family was the lunch grill near the waterslides. It was incredibly convenient, with fresh-made quesadillas, hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and fries, plus toppings and condiments on the side. It was perfect for kids and made lunchtime easy without needing to leave the pool area. We enjoyed a few mornings going to the Ocean Grille for a sit-down, served breakfast, which was nice and as Preferred Club guests this felt like the main perk, aside from the beautiful ocean view. One thing that did surprise us, however, was that although we booked Preferred Club rooms, we did not have an assigned butler. At check-in, the resort explained that only the Master Ocean Suite and Governor’s Ocean Suite include a dedicated butler. It wasn’t a huge deal overall, but in comparison to other resorts where we’ve stayed at a Preferred or Club level, we’ve always had an assigned person to assist with restaurant reservations and general requests, which would have been especially helpful given how competitive reservations were during our stay. The resort offered a good range of daytime activities including a fun Zumba class with an inflatable unicorn and daily aqua fitness. Younger kids seemed to enjoy the dance parties at the family pool; it was a bit young for my eight year old. The kids’ club also felt better suited to smaller children. My son tried one arts and crafts activity but he only wanted to stay for an hour. Evening entertainment was limited, with guest karaoke and live music. We did really enjoy the two nights of local vendors. New Year’s Eve was underwhelming unless you paid extra for a pricey gala dinner, which felt like an unnecessary upcharge at an already expensive resort. While the buffet included nice touches like ice sculptures and decor, overall entertainment should have been included. Fireworks were offered at night.
