Below Average All-Inclusive Experience

Went for a week as part of a destination wedding package for a cousin along with a dozen family members. Biggest Pro is the staff - bartenders, servers, groundscrew, enertainment team - every person has a positive attitude and a smile on their face all hours of the day. Incredibly friendly and happy to practice Spanish with any non-spanish speaking guest. Food was as expected for an all-inclusive, very middle of the road. Breakfast buffet was convenient and vast; get reservations at Bordeaux - it's the best restaurant on site. One day we booked a fishing expedition and brought our catch back to the head chef at Oceana who then cooked it up in a variety of ways for us for that night's dinner - very delicious! Cons - so many. As mentioned, this was for a family wedding so not my choice of resort. They didn't keep up with cleaning our room and as a result we got bedbugs in our bed and big red bites all up and down our legs and arms. The fire alarm went off several times day & night while we were there (no fire of course). Any bathroom outside your hotel room was bound to be broken or partially functional on any given day. The water attractions were cool but one of the slides was roped off and no attempt at a fix was made for any of the 8 days we were there. Biggest con - it is cost-prohibitive to leave campus. Dreams does NOT allow any taxi or Uber to come pick up guests for any excursion; you HAVE to book rides out of Dreams through Dreams themselves. We wanted to go into town to shop & eat local and they charged us $120 US for our party of 6 people. For comparison, we took an Uber back to Dreams for $13 US. That's a one hundred dollar difference! Additionally, Dreams is surrounded by alligator-infested wetlands and a single three-mile road from the main highway, so there's no easy way to leave campus on foot, either. Dreams is what you would expect for an all-inclusive. I would recommend either Moon Palace or finding a room up in the Hotel Zone.
Great Experience

The room was like the pictures. It’s pretty clean. We did the pizza making with Kevin and his team and it was great. Overall, we would go again!
700 person Convention ruined our vacation.

My family and I have been vacationing at Dreams and a Secrets resorts for years, we truly love the quality and luxury of each stay. This time around our stay was unusually disappointing to say the least. A 700 person convention was being hosted during our stay, something I wouldn’t be upset about if I as staying at a Hilton or a Marriott because it’s expected. We chose Dreams because it’s supposed to be more on the luxury side of resorts. It was a complete nightmare, sections of the resort were closed off on the daily to all guests and were shooed off because of this convention. The evening show which is regularly hosted in a large auditorium was crammed in the lobby every night because the convention booked the auditorium and the buffets were a complete jungle. People literally shoving over food was the point of no return. We spoke to our UVC representative and he mentioned Dreams Natura is the only one that hosts conventions and they typically host larger conventions, he said this 700 person convention was one of the smaller ones. We ended up paying $800 more for a “Preferred” upgrade so we could be more comfortable in more exclusive areas only to find out a ton of the convention guests algo got the same perk taking away that exclusivity. The “Preferred” section was crowded too. I would not recommend this Dreams as it is already a small property and add on a business style conversation to that just makes for an awful experience. If you are looking for a Dreams in Cancun I recommend Dreams Playa Mujeres, that property is two times bigger and the experience is amazing. We’ve visited that property twice and regret not going a third. That dreams is top tier luxury for your family. Please avoid this property at all costs. The worst.
Definitely sharing this resort with my travel clients!

Loved my experience at Dreams Natura. It exceeded my expectations, and I feel confident recommending this resort to my clients! My balcony was near the waterpark and when it was open I could hear the children enjoying themselves, but when I closed my balcony doors I could hear nothing! I never heard any other rooms above or below me except for maybe a couple times which is expected, so I feel like the noise was kept down very nicely in these rooms. The pools were always clean, restaurants were easy to get into, and I love the small additional touches and amenities in the room!
Terrible Dreams resort

Overall this hotel/resort should be avoided at all times. Would not recommend to anyone, staff is rude and stole from us. Food and drinks were terrible at almost all the restaurants. Please book at any different dreams than this location.
