Great Family Resort — Delivers What It Promises
Alannah H on Apr 20, 2026
We visited Dreams Natura with our 2.5-year-old and it was a solid all-inclusive experience that hit the mark for a family trip. The standout was hands down the kiddie pool. The water level was perfect for our toddler, the afternoon shows with dancing and pool activities were a genuine highlight every single day, and it kept our little one completely entertained. The lazy river was another favourite — we easily lapped it multiple times a day. Fair warning: a good chunk of it is shaded, so smaller kids can get chilly fast. Food was a highlight. The poolside grill does an excellent burger — genuinely one of the best parts of the day. Hotdogs, nuggets, and fries round it out perfectly for little ones. The buffet was great and covered all the bases. We only made it to one à la carte restaurant and it was decent, nothing that blew us away, but solid. Worth knowing before you book: the ocean is not guaranteed. We got in on day one, but after that the seaweed buildup was too significant to get past. The resort does run a tractor along the beach continuously to manage it, but it's a losing battle some weeks. If ocean swimming is the main event for your trip, this is a real factor to consider. One heads up for families with kids under 3: the waterpark area has extremely high water pressure and it's quite loud — better suited for 5 and up. We found it overwhelming for our toddler. The resort is busy. Like, really busy. That's just the reality of a popular family resort and worth going in with that expectation set. If you have an oceanfront room, you'll also hear the live music at night, so light sleepers take note. Overall, exactly what we hoped for. Great choice for families with young kids.

Cancun Dreams Resort - Mauricio at the check-in went above and beyond to accommodate us to get a room closer to our children to make babysitter an easier transition. He also let us use our original room before the new room was ready. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

Excelent hotel option for kids

We went with a 8y old. *The Best of all are the Acitivities available for kids, they are GREAT! -Water slides, lazy river, climbing wall!- And the Dreams entertainment team activities SUPER good involving kids (dancing, ball challenges, voleiball, foam party at the pool, competitions, fave painting, bracelet making!). Great friendly enthusiastic team Drisdey, Kevin, Miguel, Veronica, Angel. *The Hotel is good in general. *Personally didnt like Everything in the hotel was very compact and close together! * Food at dinner restaurants could be better in option and taste! (We compared with Dreams Playa Mujeres that we liked it better) Pool food snack is very good with options and time availability (lots of chicken nuggets and hamburguers and fries!!). * Service could be bit better, and look in smaller details like tables setting more consistent!( there was always something missing a spoon a napking, etc). *The Booking restaurant App is perfect to organize your times and avoid waiting at dinner time! They read the reviews!. Great atention from Señor Pedro Partido who helped in a situation we had in the mexican rest. *Nice lobby entertainment with singers, music all nights. Great to a pre, or after dinner happy drink with the family!
