This resort is a unique blend of refined, elevated, and charming. We enjoyed the calm serene atmosphere throughout the resort. The grounds are beautiful and full of wildlife, which Playacar is known for. There are six pools at this resort, two main pools and a couple quieter pools for relaxing and grabbing a peaceful moment during the day. The resort has maintained its old world charm. If you are looking for more modern facilities, this may not be the resort for you. That said, RH has maintained the facilities well. The rooms are elegant and well appointed. They could use a bit of an update to the bathrooms-but this wasn’t an issue. Each villa on the property has a concierge. We were lucky to have Gabriela Puente as our concierge. She was attentive and helpful throughout our week long stay. She helped us navigate the resort, dinner reservations, and provided us help for getting off site into PDC and a day trip to Cozumel. You’ll be glad she is your concierge if you stay at RH! The food at this resort is wonderful for an all inclusive stay. The menus are chef driven and combine unique flavors with beautiful presentation. Having stayed at several all inclusive and dined in some of the world’s finest restaurants- I can say, we were not dissatisfied with the restaurants at RH. Make sure to get the Pad Thai at Aziza. The Mexican dinner show was lovely—the food at the show was just ok (fixed menu). Room service was excellent every time we ordered and is a great way to grab a snack before dinner. Be sure to order the ceviche and the beef tacos!! Breakfast in the Spices restaurant is the way to go. The breakfast at The Deck was buffet and was average but not bad. We truly enjoyed The Grill for dinner. This seaside dinner was full of flavor. Be sure to make reservations one week prior to arrival by emailing the concierge of the resort. Double check your reservations when you arrive. Some restaurants close on certain nights. All of the restaurants for dinner have a dress code. Casual means sandals, shorts and polos for the guys. Formal means pants, collared shirts, and closed toed shoes for men. They enforce this to maintain an elevated dinner atmosphere. Spices, The Grill, and The Deck are all casual. All other restaurants are formal. Pack accordingly. One of the highlights for us was grabbing drinks at the Allegria Bar and listening to jazz one night. The jazz band was wonderful!! If you’re looking for a party atmosphere, you may want to choose a different resort. This resort leans on its refined nature for entertainment and classy good times. While some would think this is boring- we came on vacation this trip, to relax and be pampered a bit. RH will do that! I mention this because there were a couple of guests who showed up to party for the week and simply “stuck out” from the crowd all day every day. RH is for people who want to yes, have fun, but have a relaxing and classy time. The staff around the pool and at the restaurants were so gracious and hardworking. Genaro by the pool kept us hydrated and fed, and made sure we were enjoying our pool days with good top shelf drinks. We never had trouble finding pool chairs. We did lay in the beach a bit. It was spacious and peaceful. This time of year the seaweed is in abundance so we didn’t get into the ocean—this didn’t bother us at all. We did use the spa for some great services! I highly recommend the body scrub. Also, be sure to take advantage of the spa pool prior to and after treatments. While this pool doesn’t have service poolside—it is the perfect place to chill and reset. We loved how close this resort is to PDC and 5th Ave. Taxi service is easy to get—the bellmen will hail a taxi for you. It’s $10 USD to get to 5th Ave from RH. We took the Ultramar ferry to Cozumel for a day trip. This was very accessible from RH as well. This trip was excellent all around. We would def stay at RH again!

Wow, what a place to take your vacation! It checks all the boxes: great food, beautiful rooms, friendly staff and fun activities. Roberto and Carlos and the rest of the activity team really bring the fun and treat you like family! My only complaint was my stay wasn't longer!!!!??
