Saul at Tentazione was fabulous! Great food and great service! Special touches for our honeymoon trip made it even better!

We recently returned from a two week stay at the TRS Yucatan Hotel, and overall would rate our stay very highly. We stayed in a second floor deluxe garden view suite. The suite was very spacious, with a huge king size bed, separate shower room and a free standing whirlpool bath. There was plenty of storage space and the AC worked well and kept the room cool and comfortable. The room was cleaned and the bedding changed daily. There was a mini bar that was restocked daily, and we were supplied with our choice of two bottles of spirits. Our butlers Eric and Jessica were excellent and ensured that we were booked into the A La Carte restaurants throughout our stay, were picked up by the golf cart transport to our restaurants, and even arranged little things like getting us supplied with an iron. Additionally, they arranged for our room to be decorated for my wife's birthday and had a bottle of sparkling wine delivered to our room. They really were an asset to our holiday and helped make our stay stress free. For breakfast and lunch, we tended to go to either Helios or to Capricho, and both were excellent. I particularly enjoyed breakfast at these restaurants and I would recommend ordering from the a la carte menu, because although the buffet option is very good, the freshly cooked options are absolutely fantastic. As mentioned earlier, thanks to Eric and Jessica, we managed to eat in all the a la carte restaurants that we wanted to throughout the resort, these included Mediterranean, Italian, Japanese, Thai, Argentinan, Brazilian, French and the Chic Cabaret. All were excellent. We also had room service delivered, but when it arrived it was cold. This was one of two poor meals that we had during our stay, with the other being at the Extra Time sports bar, when we were again served cold food. It's worth noting that Extra Time is outwith the TRS section of the resort. Our days were mainly spent at the infinity pool, laying on the Bali beds with drinks delivered to us by the waiting staff, who were attentive and made frequent rounds. The drinks were all top brands and were high quality. I can't fault the pool or the service we received at it, and this was very fortunate, as the beach was pretty much out of use because of issues with sea weed. The sea weed issue can't be underplayed, it arrives by the ton, it stinks and it turns what would be a near perfect beach spot into one that just isn't pleasant. I don't blame TRS for this, and I'm pretty sure that at other times of the year, the beach would be like a tropical paradise. The TRS makes up part of the larger Grand Palladium Riviera Maya complex, and TRS guests can use the facilities at each of the hotels within it. We stayed as a couple and chose TRS for the service and the child free environment. The entertainment in these other resorts was very family oriented, with lots of little kids partying. When we were holidaying with our own kids, it would have been perfect, but not now. Additionally, guests don't have access to the premium drinks that they do within the TRS section. So for premium drinks and an adult only environment, it's only the TRS that fits the bill. So for evening and night entertainment, that pretty much means the TRS lobby and Full Moon terrace bar. Full Moon could be absolutely fantastic. It really could, but it is performing well below its potential. I think that the reason for this is the obsession with the Chic cabaret show, and how things are planned to fit around this show. We went to Chic and we really enjoyed it, but I think it's having a detrimental knock on effect on TRS entertainment. The Chic theatre is located at the heart of the TRS entertainment hub. It is effectively connected to the TRS lobby and Full Moon terrace. The entertainment prior to Chic is very upbeat. The Chic entertainment team all do a great bit of pre show party work on the terrace, hyping the audience who have arrived from throughout the Grand Palladium resort, and has the pre show atmosphere jumping. Then the Chic show begins, the atmosphere on the terrace dies, and any entertainment during Chic is very subdued. Then at 11pm Chic ends, the audience comes out and seems to immediately leave the TRS hotel. I'm not sure if this is something that they are forced to do because they are not TRS guests, but it leaves only a small crowd on the Full Moon terrace just as the DJ starts his set. I honestly think that by the time 11pm comes around, the crowd and atmosphere has been largely lost. It's simply been left too late. There were a couple of nights when individuals on the terrace decided to make their own party and got others up to dance. These nights worked well and were really enjoyable, but they were the exception. So come on TRS, put in a bit more effort with entertainment on the Full Moon terrace. Maybe get things hyped before 11pm. Maybe have the entertainment team host a post Chic party. I don't know the answer, but I do know that there is some kind of tweek needed. Overall we had a fantastic two weeks holiday. All the TRS staff were fantastic, the food was almost always excellent, the pool was fantastic, as were the drinks. Only the evening entertainment was hit and miss. But all considered, I'd love to go back and I would recommend this resort to others.

The hotel was fabulous and the service especially my Butlers were fantastic. Alexis and Moises. Food especially at Helios was delicious. There was an hiccup where it rain over night the first night and the wifi got chipped and when I was walking down to tell the butler I slipped and fell because there were puddles of water in the hall that wasn't noticable. The Butler did get help, they came and check no injury but soar, pain. I request a complimentary leg massage to sooth the pain but when the Butler requested, his manager never really followed up. However, after a little over 4 hours the soarness minimized.

The whole stay was amazing. We were on a 50th Birthday trip. The staff made it super special at dinners and during the Chic Caberet show. There was plenty of selections for food and we fortunate to have reservations for each of our 7 night stay. The BINGO show was my favorite, very interactive and entertaining. Our Butlers made everything so easy for us during the entire stay.

The resort / staff / bell boys / cleaning crews / waiters / food were all great. I was especially impressed with the butlers - Moses & Suzanna, the infinity pool seating attendant Luis, the bell boy David & the entire Helios hostess / waiters. This resort is HIGHLY recommended.
