Great family getaway
jeremya19 (Bellevue, Nebraska) on Nov 29, 2025
We were very happy with this resort. The food was probably good, wouldn't say great, but was really good for all inclusive. Daniella and Allison were 10/10 for butlers, always making sure we were taken care of, and Daniella went out of her way to help us replace a damaged suitcase, she was a rockstar!!! Alex Ortiz in The Score sportsbar was also a rockstar- we had a blast with him, great attitude and went above and beyond to take care of us. All staff were great, night entertainment pretty good. Thank you Daniella, Allison, and Alex for personally enhancing our Mexican experience!!! A job well done!
Exceeded expectations

My son and I spent 9 days there in late November. While its about expectations, we enjoyed our stay and felt the staff was very good and trying to make sure our experience was excellent. The food was above my expectation for an all-inclusive. The French restaurant is the highlight and definitely order the lamb and short rib. Avoid the included strip loin steak here and at all the restaurants - its tough. The Mexican restaurant was also notably good, steakhouse is good but again avoid the steak, Rio was decent, and both asian restaurants were good and the tepanaki was also entertaining. The buffets had lots of variety but keeping the diamond club morning buffet stocked with key items was a struggle late in our stay once all the US crowd arrived. Only bad meal was a lunch at the Italian restaurant. The service was excellent everywhere. One note; if you are gluten free, they have choices but if you want bread for a sandwich - the stuff they have is more like cake and bad. Activities are varied and the staff running them is engaged and happy. The app is kept up to date with activities by area and very helpful. Pool volleyball was a daily highlight for us. The waterslides are aggressive - we avoided the ones that require a helmet and found most of them scary. They have a section for the tots that is less aggressive. Three things that need attention; the pool table and cues are an embarrassment - buy some cues and fix or replace the table, they have cornhole but only 4 bags - $5 on amazon can fix that! I brought my pickleball racquet and they have a beautiful court but they make no effort to hook you up with other players... yet they have two people at the gym desk without much to do. I suspect Tennis is the same. Keep a list or set up a drop in each morning. Check in was excellent but we were in the Diamond Club... but rarely did we see people lined up to check-in. A few people stood out - Armando at the Diamond Club bar is fantastic - best Margarita I have ever had and his expresso martini also rocks. This was a great place to meet people. Juan the pool butler was very attentive and even cleaned our sunglasses daily. Things to bring: diamond club lazy river has no tubes - we brought our own. Sunscreen and an insulated cup. Big negative: the beach is nice but the water is brackish cuz of the seaweed (sargassum). This is a wide ranging problem and stretches down through Tulum - the pics you see on all the resort web sites predate this massive issue throughout much of the Caribbean.

Family reunion at Splash Cancun

Very crowded resort, workers were great trying to take care of everyone but just too many people for the services offered. Food was average to poor as it is mass production. Long lines for the food trucks and gelato. The entertainment was great most nights and provided lots of family fun. Gym and pickleball were great as were the classes such as yoga and Pilates. Butlers Rene and Roque went above and beyond to help where other services were lacking. We were very appreciative of their service and attention to detail. Be careful for the Prime sales breakfast, it’s 90 minutes but very pressured. We did it and got a free cabana and 2 massages for a discount but it does take up the morning.
A great family vacation

A fantastic trip!! Our butlers were Mr. G and Elio who were wonderful and checked in on us. The hotel was fantastic and the rooms were clean and quiet
