We're here now and thoroughly enjoying ourselves, my other half booked the whole thing and decided on an upgrade to the diamond club, the room is similar to other rooms we have stayed in, it's cleaned regularly and has lots of little extras that are welcome. The only negative thing I could say is the bathroom is a little dark but they have had to keep the lighting out of the way to avoid water damage, although this is very minor. The swim up pool outside the door overlooking the sea is also a great feature which I have taken advantage of. The welcome drinks on arrival were also a bonus ?? We've eaten at a few of the restaurants kindly booked by our butlers (Alex and Ricardo), and looking forward to visiting the others over the next week. We've also eaten in the buffet which has a very large choice of food, I strongly suspect that no-one could say they couldn't find anything they liked. It's not too busy as the season is coming to the end, which makes it easy to get around without it being crowded, the beach bars have closed now but there are plenty of other places to drink/eat. We're looking forward to our second week, which would have to go severely wrong for us to not go home having had a great holiday.

Teppinyaki experience - Hugo was great and very entertaining, the food was lovely and the service was fantastic

Levi was very professional. Also a fun person. I ordered salmon with fried rice and it was super delicious.

Second time visiting, both times with the diamond Club. We had an amazing time again and wanted to mention some of the staff which made our stay so great. Our butlers were Pablo and Milton, both were great. Milton was especially brilliant, he organised all our restaurant and spa reservations, and even gave us a little gift before we left. Amazing guy. Miguel and the butler team at the DC pool were great. Miguel was always very helpful and they all work very hard. At the DC beach bar, Ernesto, Jorge and Angel are brilliant. Ernesto made us some top drinks and was a good laugh. At the DC pool bar the other Ernesto and Pablo were also worth a mention. Julia and the entertainment team work very hard all day. The restaurants and bars were all good in our experience. Cristel in the Sports bar was a top waitress, Saul at the cocktail bar made some fantastic drinks. Arturo and Andres were superb teppenyaki chefs at Zen. Javier at the Taj restaurant was a great waiter. The staff at Rio also very good. So many good people. Sorry if I've forgotten all the names... The only negative experience we had is one night at the sports bar our order got messed up, and despite asking the waitress (I forgot her name) and bar staff several times my 9 year old son didn't get his food. Then when it came it was cold and appalling quality. Nobody cared when I complained. Which is a shame because when Cristel served us previously on a different day it was a great experience. The splash park is lots of fun and never that busy. Overall we absolutely loved our stay.

We had a great family holiday to the Royalton Splash. There was so much to do . The staff are all amazing , they work so hard. Big shoutout for Pablo at the diamond club pool. We were diamond club and made use of the benefits that come with it. Our butlers were Alonso and Cristian who were both responsive to our requests. Cristian went above and beyond though and would arrange things out with our requests which was very thoughtful ??. We didn’t have a great experience at check out. Our invoice was incorrect as the spa forgot to take of the deposit I paid. I had went to reception a week before we departed to rectify this which they said they would. Upon check out this hadn’t been fixed and the male supervisor was very rude to me - he told me I should have came earlier about this. Our transport was outside by the time this was finally fixed which made me have a panic attack as the supervisor had went away to try sort it out. This was a horrible end to such a fantastic holiday but I would still revisit this resort.
