Zen is amazing and our Chef Hugo was so awesome! We had so much fun!!! Our party of 8 was sat within 5 mins of our reservation and it was the best time. The wait staff amd Chef Hugo was absolutely the best vibe ever! We sang and had fun and it was just a lovely evening all around.

We had a wonderful time at this property. We plan to return or try another Royalton Splash property in the future. We are a US based family of four with two 10 yo, non Spanish speaking. The language barrier was not an issue and we could converse with all staff members. Some of the reviews made me a little nervous but we had no issues other than a minor hiccup with the app for dining reservations. Despite not having the app working properly until the second to last day of the trip, we were able to get into any of the restaurants we wanted without a reservation. And we found out that non DC guests can now use the app to make reservations too. I just had to get help from guest services. You can only book two reservations at a time up to a day ahead so this helps with being able to secure a reservation when you arrive. Make sure the wristbands bands are on good bc they are $150 to replace. Checkin was strictly at 3PM but you can enjoy the property and grab food when you arrive. We booked a non DC swim out room and it was on the far, otter side of the resort which we loved because it was away from the noise of the main swim area and water park. The room only had one king and a small pull out couch so we were able to secure a roll away twin bed that worked great for us. Waterpark was really fun and enjoyed riding the ones with tubes with the kids. The ones you go down on your body can be a little rough for adults :) Do plan to go out early and put your towels out as the chairs fill up fast. The beach does have a lot of seaweed so if snorkeling is your thing this is not the place for you. However, everything else makes up for it. We did the Dolphin excursion in Puerto Morelas through the hotel and it was awesome! Highly recommend booking excursions when you get to the hotel bc we did another one ahead of time through the booking site (Chichén Itzá) and it didn’t go as smoothly with the transportation and language barrier. Didn’t end up using the kids club as ours had a blast without it. Dinned at Taj, Rio, The Cave, Agave, Grazie and the buffet and enjoyed everything. Cafe was great for early morning coffees. Good shops too with necessities if you leave toiletries at home or need OTC meds.

This was one of my favorite meals. We had a great dinner experience! Ivan was our server, and he was very attentive and friendly. The Cave was beautiful inside. I had the sea bass, which was great. My family all enjoyed their meals as well I would Highly recommend.

Amazing service Arturo. He was very funny and entertaining. Everyone was engaged and we all loved the food! The best one was the catching the rice ball challenge. Best restaurant in the whole resort. I love this place and super cool would recommend!

Amazing service from Chef Arturo at the Zen restaurant! We went after a wedding and it was really fun. I would definitely recommend and I am very happy with my experience. The best meal I had on the resort! Great energy! Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
