I cannot say enough great things about this resort and the island in general. The Sonesta Ocean Point was literally on point from start to finish. From check in to check out, food, drink and scenery. Huge shout out to Diane, Coupel, and Frank for making our experience amazing. They were our family for the week and we can’t wait to go back!

Seems like disgruntled workers need only apply. The resort has a lot of potential. If we didn’t have butler rooms it would have been a horrific stay. The adult pool bartender was awful. The food all throughout the resort was horrendous as was the service. People literally seem annoyed to help or take your order! The front desk personnel were lacking personality and did not provide a welcoming environment. The bus drivers and door attendants were great. They were So friendly. The lobby bartender literally Said to me when I asked how he was doing that he hates people! I said ok I’ll pass on a drink for now and walked away! The rooms were large and clean. We had an ocean view suite with butler. They were cleaned daily but turn down service was spotty. We had to call and remind them every day. The beach is very small And crowded. The pool area is nice but only Had music One day. any music. It was very boring. With mostly People reading and sitting quietly. The family side was much more alive. ! I could nEver and what’s more I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. In fact it was so terrible I would implore you not to go.

I'm currently on second day of vacation as I write this review. I'm stating this because it's a testament of how great this place and it's people are. On my arrival day, I ran into some complications during my Check-in process but Mrs Shamarice and Mgn. Mrs Denisha assured that everything will be alright. Both ladies immediately took action in resolving my situation so that my wife birthday would end up an enjoyable. Listen I'm definitely see why this resort is rated 5stars. I'm definitely can't wait until I back next year. I just wanna say thanks to Mrs Denisha and Mrs Shamarice for you all immediate responses, kind words, and all around Sonesta sweet hospitality...

I made the best of my experience at Sonesta Ocean Point. My room didn't smell the best. I believe the smell was coming from the HVAC. The sofa had stains on it. I don't care for how the shower was made to where water got all over the floor. The waterfall shower in my room was squirting in many different directions, and it would've been great if the showerhead was adjustable. The liquor provided for the room was not a good brand, which is standard at a lot of resorts. I didn't open one bottle. The toilet needs a good amount of time before you can flush it again. Outside those issues, my room was great. The food on the resort was decent. I enjoyed breakfast at Azul, with the exception of when I received shells in my eggs benedict. If you don't watch your table, the birds will get all over your plates, silverware, etc. Jennifer and Dianica at Azul were very friendly and attentive. The entire staff at the resort was great. It was common for bars to run out of premium liquor. Patron and Remy went fast, but they would restock the next day. At one point, they didn't even have Sprite. The pools shut down early, which isn't great. There was a lot of construction happening on the Maho side. The entertainment at one of the pools wasn't the greatest. The guy was not a good singer. Overall, the experience was average at best. However, I made the best of my stay.

I visited this resort with my significant other and parents and enjoyed every moment. The location and property is absolutely stunning! After each relaxing pool day, I looked forward to dining at the restaurants in the evening. While the food was delicious and there were many options to choose from, what made our experience even more special was the friendly and helpful staff. Thank you Dianica, Shingai, Ternale and Mataline for the incredible service. You made our stay extra memorable.
