We have been here many times. You should try the Lobby Bar and ask for Veronica .. she’s lovely .. great service and style! We appreciated her time and attention. Her friendly smile and endearing personality really made our time worthwhile.

Really a nice stay for a friend’s trip on the adults only side, Coral. The staff made it memorable and while all were wonderful wanted to shout out to Laura at the deck area for anticipating our needs each day and helping with our chairs, umbrellas and shade all day. She’s a gem! Saby for keeping the drinks coming and making recommendations and keeping the fun going (ask about Mexican Candy shots), Santiago at the swim up bar (see you in 5 minutes), Rogelio in the buffet restaurant where on ala carte night he gave us an unexpected but wonderful tequila lesson and tasting! The housecleaning staff hit it out of the park with their flowers and turn down service. Everyone was so helpful! The pool was awesome, not crowded and Adrian with the entertainment staff made it fun all day. Never had trouble getting a lounger for the day. I loved that we didn’t need to trade cards for towels and that we could have more than one. Didn’t love the waits for the ala carte restaurants sometimes over 90 minutes. I saw someone’s review say that if you stayed on the coral side, you got some kind of priority, but either that is not true where we were not offered that service. I also heard that there is priority, and not just first come first serve, for members and I wish I had heard about this membership because I probably would’ve bought it! I know no one wants to be offered a presentation, but I actually would’ve enjoyed hearing about a membership with Iberostar. The beach really was too rough to go into the water each day, but that’s not the resort’s fault. They did really good keeping the beach clear of the Sargasm and that really was not a problem at all. All in all, as a friend trip, all of our needs were met and only a couple of inconveniences of the elevator going down for a few minutes. I did like that they had several options in most food locations for folks that are vegetarian or meatless. I would’ve enjoyed a salsa bar, though! The desserts were excellent everywhere we went.

Aloha this is my second time to vacationed with a Iberostar Property. The fist being in Jamaica in 2012. This organization did not dissapoint!!! We l, my family were celebrating my Nephew's recent Highschool Graduation. Though I'm not a huge fan of all inclusive resorts as I'm frequently solo traveling and on the move much of the time on excursions Iberostar met my needs! Yes the property is a little dated and it is very large. For me I'm more of a lesss is more person. I would estimate I utilized maybe 10% of the properties offerings. Not a complaint just a fact. The 10% I utilized I would rate Five stars. Additionally, I like to be able to explore the local communities. This property is a little isolated for me. Meaning significant travel is required to get to Cancun. Playa Del Carmen is close but still some travel required. Again my preference. I would and will stay at Ieberstar properties if the opportunities would present themselves. I would recommend staying on any of your properties. Stayed in an ocean view basic room. Room is not fancy but has what you need and what I expected. Upgrade if you want resort style room. Coral has very nice rooms. I was perfectly fine with our room. Mini bar had coke, sprite, sparkling water and beer. Not tons but you can get drinks at the bar. Buffet has lots of tasty stuff and I haven’t been disappointed. Italian restaurant was pretty good. My favorite was the steak house. All the appetizers on the menu were available buffet style and you could order main meal and sides at table. I absolutely loved it. We made reservations for hibachi and I was happy to get one but I made it when arrived and was told only reservation left was our last night at 8:30. So we made it work. We did not have trouble getting into restaurants like others have mentioned. Staff is wonderful and very pleasant. Beach is beautiful with some sargassum and rocks. It’s been a red flag on our trip so we have not been getting into the ocean but some guest have. Golf course is stunning. For our group the only down side is not enough activities. And you have to pay for the only show on Friday nights. I personally love the aqua fit at 11:30. I’m glad I came but would probably not return to this location because of my group enjoys more planned activities. Also they do try to sell a membership (they don’t consider it a timeshare) and if you decide to hear about it, will take about 2 hours. They want a lot of money down and monthly payments for the membership.

We had a wonderful stay at Iberostar Selection Cancun. The beach was beautiful, with clear turquoise water. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was a ocean front suit and it was clean, spacious, with amazing ocean/pool views. Great food at the buffet with lots of variety. The steak restaurants was amazing! Would definitely recommend for couples or families looking to relax or want to have fun! The spas was large, clean and offered many treatments. Many fun activities offered throughout the day. They have a kids camp on the property with many actives. The large pool with the swim up bar was great, we meet so many people. Nice golf course on property. We played two rounds of golf. My husband played Pickleball very morning. We will definitely be back.
