Very good value, would have stayed longer!

- Overall, a very nice option for a 4* hotel (although it says on its website it is a 5*, Transat considers it a 4*, and so do I). - The territory is absolutely beautiful with lots of trees and plants. The swimming pool is very nice, and the snorkelling (accessible through a tiny beach) was pretty good. You can borrow snorkelling gear. Bring water shoes as the beach is a mix of sand and tiny bits of seashells. If you want white sand, and no snorkelling, take a hotel in the Southern part of the island instead. - We were lucky to have a corner room on the 6th floor with a great view on the sea and the port. You can hear pretty much what's going on in the other rooms, though, so cross your fingers to have quiet neighboors. - Close to activities and to the town (+45 minutes walk - bring lots of water!). Taxis are expensive e - The room was huge, and cleaned every day. - The buffet was quite good. Fresh, lots of variety, for all tastes. The pasta is cooked too much and the deserts are so-so, but overall it is good value. The personnel seems rather happy to work there. - The restaurants are on first come, first served basis - you can sip a cocktail while waiting for your turn. The Italian serves fresh pasta, but it could benefit from an in-residence Italian chef for a while;-) The Mexican one was my favorite. The Pescador on the beach has no waiting list in the evening, and serves good, but with variable recipes (ex: once, the fried cheese was fried on the pan, and we had bread, but the second time is was breaded and fried, and no bread). - The exchange rate at the reception was absolutely bad; go get your money at the banking machine 200 meters away from the hotel instead. - We went to only one show as the time was not good for us (8 PM), although it was probably good for most people (lots of families), a karaoke night, and the songs were taken from YouTube:-( Also, there was a problem with the microphones and the karaoke was cancelled. That seemed amateur for us. But we did hear other people saying good things about the other shows.

We have been member for 17 years.. Weather was best part of vacation. Food mediocre at best. Served cold or lukewarm. Small portions. Liquor selection was poor. When we made our reservation, we requested a room with an ocean view but our room was on the third floor and we were put on a waiting list for a different room but never got one in the two weeks we were there. Found others who were not members and a few only booked a week before arriving received rooms on 7th and 8th floor. Guess they already had us as members so gave nicer rooms to those, they wanted to lure in. Definitely not a 5 star hotel, more like a 3 at best. .
Awesome place

We had an amazing time. We can't wait to go back with our kids and family. We really enjoyed ourselves.
Good location, average resort

We stayed here Mod to end of January, Overall we had a decent time even though the weather was not ideal with red flag beach days pretty much the whole week. Check in was ok but not well organized, room was not quite ready yet but they directed us to the buffet and by the time we returned to the desk the room was ready, no real instructions though in the layout of the resort or how to get to the room just pointed in the general direction, the “concierge staff” was more helpful though but they are really just the time share sales people, they were helpful, not too pushy and were not too aggressive trying to get us into the presentation after we said we were not interested. The room was a decent size and everything worked well, only issue was we had an end of the hall room along the road and with the weather ..water did leak through the window one night and flood the floor slightly, we looked after it ourselves with towels but the room across the hall from us was relocated somewhere else at around 11:30 at night. Food was overall decent, only issue is they had a decent amount of shellfish dishes and they would spread out among the different stations making choices very limited for someone with allergies due to the cross contamination , the chefs would accommodate but it would make more sense to keep all those dishes together in one buffet section to better manage the risk for cross contamination. We did not try any of the specialty restaurants, you have to line ip and we like to eat on the earlier side of the evening. No issues getting drinks , line ups at the bars were never a big issue usually got what we wanted fairly quickly, Beach was ok not a big area and with the weather we never actually made it into the water. One downside is the beach grill area has very little actual seating space for you sit and eat your hotdog/burgers or nachos. There was only about 4 small tables for the relatively big area in front of it . The cobblestone pathways we were not a fan of, they are u even and when it rains there are big puddles everywhere because they just don’t drain the water away. Seating near the bottom lobby bar is not enough for the size of the resort we would just go back to the room more the. Once to drink our drinks because there was no place to sit. We liked the location close to some amenities outside the resort and also close enough to walk into town. We stopped and had food and bevies at aunts bar down the road a few times. The layout of the resort is ok it looks spread out but it really never took to long to go anywhere even from our room in building 2 all the way to the beach. The coffee cafe is stellar and the staff there were fantastic. We wouldn’t avoid this place in the future but we would probably look elsewhere for something different as there was nothing here that really stood out to draw us to return.

Always a pleasure to travel to a resort where you are welcomed and remembered by name! This is my 3rd trip and I brought 2 friends with me.... they enjoyed the snorkelling, we love the adult pool, and my room had a great view from the 8th floor! Love watching the cruise ships.... I'll be back again in the Fall!
