This is a great resort for couples and families. It is a beautiful and large resort with plenty to do. You feel very safe since the property moniters access. There is PLENTY of shopping within walking distance.

First time at Grand Park and left with mixed feelings. Pros: - great service and excellent staff - well maintained property - well appointed rooms - activities for everyone - safe location - beautiful views of the Caribbean Cons: The worst food I’ve ever had at an all inclusive resort. The buffet was never fully stocked, lots of cold food that wasn’t great. It seemed like many ingredients were low quality for a “5 star resort” - no butter, just margarine, fake coffee creamer, no real orange juice, sliced hot dogs. Room service was no better. Beware of the pics on the app- that is not what your food looks like in real life. The sit down seafood restaurant was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. After waiting 75+ minutes they brought us 2 cold appetizers and the soup never came out at all. We ordered the surf and turf and all spit it out after the first bite. The shrimp was mealy and tasted rotten and the steak didn’t taste like real meat. I would stay here again but I wouldn’t recommend planning your meals at this resort.

We've been visiting the Park Royal for spring break for many years, and every year it gets better. Everything about this resort is incredible. But the key element is the ocean. If you enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving, Park Royal cannot be beat. It's clean, comfortable, the staff is ridiculously friendly, the food is delicious, and the value is unbelievable. I hate sharing such positive reviews because I selfishly want this resort for myself. The price will increase as more people learn about this incredible resort experience, which is to be expected. Currently, the value is so great that it defies logic. If you've never been to Park Royal, do yourself a favor and book a trip before the price catches up to reality.

Just got back from a week at the Grand Park Royal Cozumel. Highlight of the trip for the whole family was the snorkelling that was available right off the beach of the resort. It exceeded my expectations. We saw everything from parrot fish, blue tangs, a variety of angel fish, small stingrays, puffer fish and even an eel. It was a perfect area for swimming for my kids (age 9 and 7). We felt safe and like it was a great starter experience for them. The beach area was small but beautiful. We got up early everyday to get chairs on the beach because we found it was where we spend most of our time. Alfredo was the waiter on the beach and he was amazing. Fast and reliable service with a smile every time. One morning we ordered mimosas and he apologized that the bar didn't have sparkling wine yet. Awhile later he remembered our drink order and brought us mimosas as soon as the bar had the drink. He works exceptionally hard to give a great experience. The food. So many bad reviews about the food on here. I would call myself a foodie and I was NOT disappointed. I will agree that the service at the a la carte restaurants was slow, and the Italian was not my favourite. But I don't go to Mexico to eat Italian food. I am there to enjoy the local fare and there was so much authentic Mexican options at the buffet. Absolutely loved the Chilaquiles every morning for breakfast. We found the selection was perfect to provide my husband and I with plenty of options and keep our kids satisfied and happy as well. If you want to know what to eat, look around and see what the Mexican locals are getting and that is what you should eat. Worked great for us! The kids club was fantastic. My kids thought they may be too old for it so they were hesitant to give it a try, but once they went we had to fight them to come out! They begged to go every day. Maria and Irene (I am unsure if Irene is correct, if I am wrong I apologize), were so sweet and kind with my kids. They spoke great English so my kids felt confident and comfortable. Rooms were clean and well kept. I suggest requesting a high floor if you get ocean view. We loved watching the cruise ships coming in and out daily. Overall wonderful experience and we would return in a heartbeat!

Overall everything was great. So nice and accommodating. The food could have been a little better, little bland. Little shops outside the hotel were cute.
