OPRYLAND PHILOSOPHY IS WE ARE TOBIG TO FAIL

I reserved a room through Expedia , for one night to a cost of 630.00 . I had to c@Noel it due to daughter illness , called Opry land number waited 13 minutes for a broken English Spanish woman to answer when I couldn’t understand her I asked where she lived and it was Mexico City She said she would check with supervisor to see if could cancel I waited another8minutes only to have the line go dead.Called back waited four minutes for Spanish lady to see if she could cancel ,cam back told me no must cancel through Expedia . Opry land farms out all of their reservations and customer service . I hate this place as when we visited last time the staff almost universally acted as if they didn’t care if we were there . Am I angry the answer is no, it seems Opryland believes they just need to exist and wait for the business to come in. It’s too big to fail unfortunately

We have been to the Opryland resort several times and never had issues, this time was the exception. We booked the day after Thanksgiving, so we could see the Peanuts in ice and take advantage of all of the fun the Opry has to offer. Upon arrival, I noticed a ceiling tile down in the bathroom, I simply put it back up. I then took a seat in the office chair and fell out of it because it was missing a wheel. I took pics but refused to let these issues ruin our stay. I also requested and was charged for the a roll away bed but refused. Again, not an issue during previous visits. After fun and very little sleep due to cramped sleeping arrangements, we headed to check out. I noticed a Manager in the busy lobby, I explained to him our situation. He took my info and suggested that he comp the room. Sounded great but never happened. I email customer service they tell me they hope my next stay is better. At this point I'm disappointed and not sure what to do but share our experience. Hope your stay is better.
