Basic rooms, very loud. Beautiful grounds

This hotel is LOUD all the time. You can’t escape it, at least not in the atrium rooms. Maybe rooms facing outside are better. It’s a no frills room for a resort, kind of comfort inn level. The resort itself is beautiful but expensive ($10 for a small pack of pistachios). Gorgeous grounds but would never stay here again because you can’t escape the music blaring everywhere you go including your room. Our room was right above a bar too and their bar open till 12:30 am so just very hard to rest here. It’s all about the resort and not much care to the people paying to stay here.
Spendy!

The hotel is structured around three huge atriums that house restaurants, bars, shopping areas and most importantly—botanical gardens. We came during a particularly frigid cold snap, and gleefully rarely left the hotel’s mostly balmy interior. My dad had an interior room with a balcony, and we didn’t. Our room was well insulated from internal noise. There was some external chainsaw racket one of the days, but overall it was a quiet stay. This hotel is expensive to say the least. The rooms themselves, given your total tab, are disappointingly bland and small. For better or worse you’re paying for the overall hotel ambiance. We had the buffet breakfast one morning (yummy) in the Cascades atrium, ate Italian another night in the conservatory atrium (with a charming server from Egypt), and I used the gym all three mornings ( large which helps if there’s a rush of people). Valet parking can take a while — even though those guys work hard. Grounds are well-maintained, and the big draw. Internal waterfalls can be deafening and the night singers can drone on endlessly — if you go to bed early. Staff are mostly warm or professional at the very least. If you feeling rich, go and check it out!
