We returned to Secrets Royal Beach for a second time and this time we brought friends! Booked preferred Club junior suite with private pool (3 rooms). Depending on your room location the pool can be very chilly as our group was split in different areas, 2 of our rooms were situated on the sunny side of the building and one was in the shade all day - if you want this kind of room, request to be on the sunny side otherwise it is more like a cold plunge. Restaurants are all decent, didn't have a bad meal - the Himatsu Japanese restaurant is a lot of fun with the Teppanyaki grill - this requires reservations but I highly recommend. There is enough to do at this resort that we didn't really need to book any offsite excursions and we could do things together with the group or go off as a couple separately. A few extra amenities when booking preferred - we felt it was worth it and our butler Marcos was amazing our room was always stocked with champagne, treats and water! Since we've visited here twice already we'll probably try a different location next time but do recommend this location. Previously visited in January 2025 for our honeymoon.

We'd looked forward to trying this restaurant after reading so many positive reviews, but unfortunately it really didn't live up to expectations. I've got to add that we're on day 4 and have had our first less than positive experience in terms of customer service. We booked Preferred, but unlike our experience at Royalton, having a butler does not enable restaurant bookings to be made (seemingly with the exception of the teppanyaki, although some have said their butler did make other bookings for them). We waited for over an hour for a table (until 8.35). Our starters didn't arrive until 2105 and weren't very warm, as though they'd perhaps been sitting around for a while. Mains came at 2130, again not all that warm. I had one glass of wine before my starter and wasn't topped throughout the meal, until right at the end, my husband had been trying to attract the attention of staff who were standing in groups chatting. Had hoped to see the rock show but it was pretty much over by the time we walked out (without being offered dessert) at 2150. We're likely to return to the Bordeaux French restaurant which by comparison was absolutely amazing.

What a great place to be while the states were getting hit with a major winter storm! Temps were 76 - 82 around the clock with limited pop-up rain showers that lasted only a few minutes. The atmosphere was beautiful, beach was clean, literally no shells, and seaweed was baled regularly. Food was good, pools were fun, and yet still good for quiet time. Bar service at the pools, and other bars was excellent. Bartenders were fun and made it a great experience. Rooms were good and we enjoyed our balcony at various times of day. Variety of restaurants for food too. Great experience!

Very nice resort, food and service were better than other places we’ve stayed. Pools and beach were wonderful but hard to get chairs. A highlight was the romantic dinner on the beach. The nighttime entertainment was okay, not great. Only real downside was the rather aggressive upselling both at check-in and during our stay. We upgraded to the Preferred Club which was nice but I’m not sure it was worth the price.

Main issue. When it came to the extra activities while the resort was basically full capacity. They only offer 10-12 spots. Like painting or water bikes or painting figures. Even when there 5-10 minutes prior to the time. You are told No more spots available. Not we will do a second round or wait til spot available and then you take a seat. Just NO! Made us very upset. Plus, others were treated the same.
