Family time and beautiful memories

This is our third time at this resort and we always feel welcome Angelo the pool concierge and Rachel the our favorite waitress always makes fell at home. They have the biggest smile and that welcome factor. The room was cozy, clean and elegant. We took a cab from the hotel and it was a pleasant ride. The hotel is very clean.
Hadar buffet and concierge

Staff were friendly, helpful and amazing. We frequented the Hadar buffet and all were at the ready to help. Ismael and Sandy were always smiling and kind. Our concierge, Miriam, was incredible!
Lovely! We enjoyed our stay

We stayed at the Paradisius La Perla as part of a wedding group in December 2025. It was a lovely vacation from start to finish. We upgraded to the Reserve and are glad we did because of the extra perks included, like the ability to make dinner reservations every night and the free use of available Bali beds and cabanas. The service was wonderful. Our concierge Rossana took great care of us throughout our stay and Isabel by the main pool ensured we had everything we needed, going out of her way to bring us drinks and food. The best meal we had was at Cielo, the traditional Mexican restaurant. The short rib was amazing! I will say the only downside to the resort was the ambiance in the restaurants. While the food was good, the experiences felt a bit “cafeteria” as compared to the Secrets chain, which is where we usually book. But all in all a lovely vacation! Great food and drinks, friendly staff, beautiful room. A 9 out of 10!
Celebrations were had, good memories were made.

Awesome experience for my 3rd visit and 3rd anniversary. Also celebrating a birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed Carlos, Roberto, Christopher, Alfredo and all the rest of the staff. Amazing food, selection, quantity and quality. Definitely going with another Melia resort again, hopefully soon.
Decent resort, terrible dinner reservation process

I'll start by saying I would never come back to this resort again, but it's not a bad resort. It's a very pretty resort and there's lots to do, but part of an all-inclusive experience to us are the dining options and although this resort has numerous options, getting a reservation was virtually impossible. We arrived on a Saturday and tried on Sunday to make reservations for the week. We were able to make two for the entire week at reasonable times, but for the rest of the week we would have to eat after 9:30 p.m. Some of the restaurants look like they have more than enough tables, while others have very few tables for the size of space they occupy and they're usually only half full, but you can't get in because they say they are full (I've included a picture of Flora when they were "full" and "fully booked"). When we would stop by restaurants and inquire about dinner that evening we would always be told they are full and we could show up every half hour to ask if they have had any cancellations. I'm not wasting my evening walking around all the restaurants across this entire huge property to find out if I may get in or not. This problem was compounded by the fact one person in our group was in a wheelchair. When I went and talked to the reservation table again, they told us we should have been reached out to 3 to 5 days before our arrival, which we were not (and we booked directly with the hotel, so they couldn't even pawn the blame off on a travel company). They put on a good show pretending to get us a reservation, but when they couldn't they showed no empathy or interest in helping us any further and told us to just go to the buffet. We found out towards the end of our week other people were able to book their dinner reservations without a problem when they arrived and many times didn't even bother showing up for one reason or another. Sadly, there is no wait list to be added to and then contacted if a reservation is canceled. Moral of the story, book your dinner reservations before you get here, whether you plan to use them or not. It's a terrible system, but it's what they've chosen to do, be damned if it inconveniences guests who are paying a hefty sum to be here. A few other things around the resort. The smoking section for the adult pool is just outside the door to e-block building, which made us have to do alternate routes, unfortunately that was the exit with the elevator for the person in the wheelchair. Some of the restaurants you'd expect to be open for lunch are actually closed during lunch, including the restaurant titled The Lunch Box.
