hotel was great. The best part of the trip was Ricardo from entertainment!! He was at the gym everyday and helped me and my family create tailored work out routines and was so nice and explained how to use all the equipment. He also taught us a few dance moves that we used at their cuban night. He made the trip super memorable!

I LOVED IT. Nice people and good vibes. I love love yolainde and Yulia Elena in reservation. Dancing and the vibe was good. I loved Sakura as well as the fancy international restaurant. I will definitely go again. Amazing time! Thanks for everything!

We spent an amazing week at Melià Varadero! Excellent for a family vacation. Awesome beach, very clean, with a lot of shadow and lounges (no need to reserve early morning). Perfect size hotel, not overcrowded because of the season, so everything was running smooth. Very clean rooms, with comfortable bedding and pillow. Regarding the food, no shortage at all. There was variety and was tasty. To make a long story short, it exceeded expectations.

This was my second time coming to the Melia varadero resort and honestly this time around was much better than the last.check in was done pretty quick the rooms were very nice and comfortable my room was kept amazingly clean thanks to my maid Daynovis she did an outstanding job.Even the food selection was very numerous and well cooked. What I did notice with the food was there was a shortage of eggs but the still had liquid eggs to make your omelettes and scrambled. It was a please going to the buffet and I always sat in the section where Rosmery work she always has an amazing smile and attitude of wanting to help you. Her counterpart Reyneil was just as good always making sure your table is cleared. The pool was very relaxing and the pool bartenders were also great. Honestly the only issue I had with this resort was the beach. I’ve been to plenty of resorts in Varadero and honestly this beach had to be the most rocks I have seen. But the staff always made me feel comfortable. I stayed is room 5701 but I was not a level member. Hope this helps in making your decision.

Just returned from our 11 night stay. Lovely hotel very pretty gardens and beach ( not white sand ,but still beautiful) Ocean was stunning, but be warned of rocks , not sharp but can be a bit hazardous for some quite difficult to get in and out . Drinks and cocktails in pool and beach bar are very hit n miss , usually spirit with flat lemonade or flat orange, no juice. Mojito...no. dacrari..flat lemonade and rum. Screwdriver..flat orange squash with vodka. Beer was good but take your own drinks cup because you will get a small cardboard cup with about two mouthfuls of beer and rest froth , staff will happily fill your own mug. Entertainment staff were great always something going on from a piano to dance lessons and fun n games in pool. Pool is is desperate need of a make over. Water was clean but black mould around the walls of the pool , looks awful. Note to English guest .. lots of other nationalitys . There was us and one other couple. Food was of a good standard shame it was cold everyday. Breakfast..undercooked bacon sausage, hash browns still frozen in middle.... If you like pasta you will be happy You can queue for fresh meat,fish eggs if you are prepared to queue in heat from the grills. Everyday food was the same pasta pasta and more pasta nice selection of bread and ham and cheese.piles of pastries which were a bit dry . You can use the three al a carte restaurants if again you want to queue people were queueing from 7.30 , to wait for lady to take bookings at 8.30. Don't see why you should have to queue for over an hour every morning to get half decent food. Tex mex was laughable, advertised exquisite food ,well if you want 5 doritos with a smear of guamole and pork like shoe leather... Beautiful hotel, most staff lovely, beach beautiful, pool in need of makeover. One last shout out to the (chuckle brothers ) at pool bar , never met such miserable bar staff ever ask for a drink get a blunt NO ask for another it gets put in front of you with no smile ?? think I saw them smile once and the swim up bar is not a swim up bar because you will not get served from the pool you have to get out or climb over the bar as some people were to get a drink there was no way they was going to come over and serve you , would of been nice to have an extra staff member to serve fro. Pool otherwise what's the point.t of swim up bar...
