We couldn’t have been happier here. The resort is well run and the people were incredibly kind and helpful. Would like to give a shout out to Vanessa at guest services for all her help, Lassondra at the pool bar for her service, Nicole and Tasha at Portofinos , and Dale who was everywhere doing everything with a smile. The food was very good from the Ala carte, the Italian restaurant, Sails and Tails and the burgers on the beach. Oh and the pizza was delicious!! The rooms are very comfortable and the air works great! There are a lot of stairs and inclines so beware you will get your steps in but they do have golf carts to take you around too. I would definitely come back here!!!

The resort is lovely; a mix of beaches and pools with another large beach nearby. We thought the food was good- we didn’t pay for Nicole’s but enjoyed Sails and Tails, and Portofinos and thought that the buffet, both breakfast and evenings was decent. Drinks were good and we found the barstaff willing to make customised cocktails. Where it is let down is some of the staff and overall organisation. Some are great; friendly and engaging but others disinterested and feels that they’re forced to work there!! Overall though everyone is welcoming. We found a lack of overall organisation. Cleaning didn’t happen twice and we had to chase- cleaning did then happen but they forgot the next time leaving our room uncleared for 4 out of the 9 days. Some advertised activities just don’t happen as staff don’t turn up, including the initial orientation. We would recommend this place and enjoyed our time there but don’t be fooled into thinking that you’ll get 5* customer service…

I was un-sure of The Verandah before we arrived, as I had read some very poor reviews. I have been pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, friendliness and quality. Unlimited drinks - all named spirits, not local cheaper brands. Staff so friendly, jolly and happy. No issue with towels, I did notice some residents take 3 towels each ! No issues with getting sunbeds. Really relaxing here. Great reggae band last night, mini golf, darts, pool table. Great sports bar with lovely staff too.

We just got back from our trip! We had three rooms for 10 days for our family. The rooms are just ok, not over the top and basic. We had no lock for any of the safes and had to get them from the front desk the next day. Housekeeping is every other day. No blanket on the beds, a very thin waffle like blanket so pack something warm for bed! Nicole’s is not with the up change. Sails and tails you will wait an hour for your food at both lunch and dinner. We tried it twice and both times with reservations it was way too long of a wait….. Pizza is hit or miss, took 45 min for two pizzas one day, they had no plates or a chef. You can only book restaurants two days out so book early there at guest services. Lunch at the beach grille is just as long of a wait as sails and tails. We left and asked them to cancel our lunch, don’t get the salad bar at the beach grille either. Buffett breakfast was great! Italian restaurant was great too! Pool was just ok, not much going on. Grounds were very clean. Staff works hard and long hours! Our rooms were close to the pool and restaurant areas or you would have a lot of walking! Drinks are ok! Nothing over the top. Cafe was nice to have.

We just came back from our week stay at The Verandah Resort & Spa. Had an amazing stayed. The resort view and beaches are gorgeous. Rooms are spacious with beautiful views. The entire staff if very friendly and welcoming! Excellent services such as bar tenders Shaloam and LaSandra, restaurant services: Deshanti, Rashad, Judith, Keisha and Maria (making us delicious omelets every morning); pastry chefs team and Michelle from the Guest service. The employee that stand out was Theodore a.k.a. THEO!!! With very good reasons, as he remembered our names and by far the FRIENDLIEST/KINDNESST staff at the resort. We especially appreciate the hard working staff who spend hours preparing for a very lovely exciting New Year’s Eve party for us. Great time and highly recommend to all!
