Fantastic Stay
Jamalgang47 (Dallas, Texas) on Dec 25, 2025
I stayed for four nights at Encore while I was in Las Vegas for a pre-Christmas holiday. I bookeed primarily due to the low rates being charged by the hotel through Priceline. The final rate was around $108 per night with the four night stay averaged out to under $800 inclusive of resort fees and taxes. Encore is located on the Strip but to the north of the main clustre of hotels so the location is not as centrally located as say Aria or Bellagio. It is located across from a bus station on the Deuce which runs down the length of the Strip from Downtown. It also helps that there is a vast selection of food and shopping within the resort complex shared with Wynn. The rooms were extremely spacious and large at 743 square feet and encompassed a main "bedroom" area partitioned off from a separate seating area containing the sofa and a dual-sided desk. The room was essentially spotless with no discernible cleanliness issues or real wear and tear. The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows and the sheets and blankets were perfect. Another aspect of the room that was well above par was the technological aspect. There was an in room iPad which, in addition to controlling the TV, was also useful to order food and as a catalogue for the hotel itself. Curtains and lights could be controlled by an Amazon Alexa unit and overwhelmingly the controls were significantly more advanced than in pretty much any other US hotel I've stayed in. There were two minor problems with the room. Firstly, the lamp on the desk did not appear to work (however this was partially remedied by the fact that there was a ceiling light directly above it) and secondly the controls didn't have sufficient variation. While most of the lamps and standing lights could be turned off manually, the ceiling lights had either be all on or all off with no in between. The bathroom was just as expansive as the room but unlike at some properties with oversized bathrooms, the space seemed well utilised with a tub and a separate shower, dual sinks, and the toilet in an additional room with a door. The shower was a bit small but the water pressure was excellent. The only real aesthetic complaint would be that the soap was not in dispensers, however I thought Encore did much better than most other establishments with body wash, conditioner, and shampoo that was easily squeezable and in large bottles. They also did a good job with hand soap as the bar didn't disintegrate easily and a dish was provided at each individual sink. I also appreciated the subtle additions in the bathroom such as the small flat screen TV and a dedicated bath mat that seemed to elevate the elegance. Service throughout my stay was exemplary and every staff member I encountered was able to strike a balance between attentive and helpful service while not being overbearing. Housekeeping was particularly noticeable with the staff not only making beds but providing additional towels complete with folding and also folding clothes that were left out. Initially, I had been a bit worried about noise levels as I had read online of reports of high noise levels particularly in Encore but this was not an issue at all during my stay. Not only was there no sound escaping to upper floors (even the elevator music was completely masked by soundproofing), even the lobby and general casino area wasn't as loud as it was at other resorts such as the Venetian or Bellagio for instance. The ambience and overall atmosphere here is extremely calm compared to even other luxury resorts on the Strip. The selection of shopping and dining options downstairs was extremely wide and there was something to fit just about every taste. The resort complexes on the Strip are designed to where you technically don't have to leave the premises during your stay but at Encore that really is a viable route to take given the variety. Even considering the resort fee (which is also present at just about every other hotel on the Strip), the value here is unbeatable at under $110 per night. The quality of the stay from the staff to the rooms to the amenities was already top notch but the cost takes it over the top.
Be Aware – My Experience at Encore
A1nnaArt on Dec 01, 2025
I feel it’s important to share this so other guests are aware. I recently stayed in a Tower Suite at Encore, and unfortunately, something in the room environment made me physically ill for my entire stay. Each morning, I woke up with severe swelling around my eyes and irritation to my skin. The swelling was so bad that I needed antihistamines and cold compresses just to function. We requested hypoallergenic pillows and changed bedding on the second night, but the reaction continued. Nothing helped. As soon as I checked out and left the room, the swelling started to improve, which clearly shows that something in the room — whether detergent, cleaning chemicals, or the bedding — triggered the reaction. This was an expensive room, and what should have been a relaxing getaway turned into three miserable nights of discomfort, lack of sleep, and anxiety. My vacation was ruined because of how I felt. Even after I explained everything and provided photos, the hotel told me that they were “sorry” but would not offer any gesture of goodwill, compensation, or meaningful assistance. Being told simply to "ask for hypoallergenic pillows" — which I already did — felt dismissive and unhelpful. I expect more from a hotel in this price category. I’m sharing my experience so future guests know that if you have sensitivities to cleaning products, detergents, or environmental allergens, you may want to proceed with caution. My experience was extremely disappointing and not what I expected from Encore.
