Nice pool, good housekeeping. Great but expensive coffee shop. Buffet breakfast was fair to medium, especially for $50!

Beds were comfortable beds, However, Noisy halls, air conditioning, and plumbing! You could hear all night and day, showers, toilets, and anything and everything in the halls. Weather was not good, pool not warm enough for conditions, everyone in hot tub!
Nice Location & Outside Space, But Interiors Need Updating
DeFranLA (Los Angeles, California) on Jan 05, 2026
This was our 2nd visit to Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach, the first being in January 2022. It has gone a bit downhill since then. This property gets by because of its excellent location on the beach and close proximity to the airport. On the positive front, the food is generally good and the staff (for the most part) very friendly-- especially the breakfast restaurant team, the hard-working ladies at the morning coffee spot and the food runners at The Crooked Surf. While the outside spaces are quite nice, the hotel itself needs updating. There's plenty of deferred maintenance. The musty carpets in the 1st floor hallways and rooms need to be replaced. The bathrooms require the most work. Our shower did not drain properly, so water filled the tub each time we used it. The fixtures are cheap and the plastic flooring is dated/warping in spots. The bathrooms might be large, but the vanity is tiny, with barely any room for your stuff. If you stay on the 1st floor, don't expect to keep your sliding glass door open because there are no screens and plenty of mosquitos (aided by the drip system/sprinklers that come on with a vengeance every morning at 3 AM). The air conditioner in the room was another real joy: jet-engine loud, with an ever-present ticking sound.
