We loved every minute of our stay. It’s beautiful!

We stayed here four days before Christmas and we loved it so much. The grounds are beautiful. It feels like you’re in Italy which we love. A true resort with large rooms and comfortable new beds. The entire resort has been upgraded. I complimented two staff members about how much we loved our room and the resort and before sunset they sent a basket of candy and a bone for our dog. We won’t stay anywhere else and we are NATIVE FLORIDIANS living a few hours SW. we know our resorts and THIS one is the real deal. Thank you for having us LOEWS! We can’t wait to come back! You will see us again! Mary Demo
horrible service and very low quality employee training

I would like to give zero stars but there is no such options. I ordered a microwave to be delivered to my 3 year old daughter's room to warn her food. It was supposed to be delivered in 20 to 30 minutes. More than 1 hour after that, we called and they claimed to have delivered. Well they did not. After complaining they open a new order to deliver and took another 40 minutes after claiming they would do it in 10 minutes. In total it took then 1 hour and 50 minutes to execute a simple equipmente delivery. What kind of hotel claims to be five stars and totally dismiss your low quality service with empty excuses????
Excellent stay again!

By far the best hotel on site. We have stayed at the Portofino for a holiday vacation for the past 10 years. I can not say enough about the service and attention we receive. Matthew Rogers and his team, including Alexa, go above and beyond to ensure that our stay is enjoyable. The hotel is clean, and all of the amenities are wonderful. We have enjoyed all of the restaurants and can't say enough about the service we receive. I would always recommend the Portofino!
Low Quality Hotel, Not Worth the Price Tag!

Unfortunately this hotel leaves much to be desired. This property looks nothing like the gorgeous photos online and is in need of some serious renovations. We stayed three nights here and I wished I had chosen a better hotel to stay. The baths are in very poor condition. There is excessive caulk over the entire bathroom. The first room we were assigned to had plumbing issues, the toilet over flowing, not flushing, both sinks stopping up , and the bathtub not draining and had a bug in the bathroom. We went to the park for the day, and requested our room be changed while we were out and when we got back they hadn’t switched our rooms because they assured us that the plumbing issues were fixed, however this wasn’t so. After putting in another complaint they switched our rooms. This bathroom had excessive caulk everywhere in the new room as well, mildew in some areas and in very poor condition along with dirty walls. We were not pleased especially when we live in a newly built modern home so to come to this dump was a huge disappointment. The desk in the room is filthy and wall outlets are loose and unattached from the walls. The hotel doesn’t even have a smart TV — something that’s standard in regular hotels these days. Check in lines are super long and ridiculous. Also, I wasn’t given any dining or activity materials upon check in. I had high expectations for Loews Portofino Bay Hotel but unfortunately service is poor and low quality. At this price point you will leave very disappointed. I travel a lot and have stayed at different hotels all over the world and this is one of the poorest of them all. I would never stay here again, nor would I recommend this place to anyone. To pay $800+ a night is insane for a dump of a hotel that is nowhere near luxurious. This is a 2 star hotel at best.
A very beautiful and pleasant hotel with excellent service!

On the positive side: incredibly gorgeous, good restaurants where you can find food at reasonable prices, Express Pass included, a great pool area with free sunscreen, clean and fresh throughout, you’re allowed to keep your car in the parking lot until you leave the area, and there’s a boat to Universal. On the negative side: breakfast is not included, it’s expensive (one night here costs the same as four nights at another hotel—but you do get the Express Pass), and there are very few/none USB charging options. If you can afford it, I can truly recommend this hotel, and I would gladly return.
