W Punta Cana, the only all-inclusive / adults only “W” property in the world.

Location Approximately 45 minutes away from Punta Cana Airport (PUJ). They do offer a shuttle service from the airport for an added fee. Value Newer property. Appropriate for the amount of food items that are offered throughout the resort. There is also 24 - hour room service that comes with the nightly room rate. Pre-arrival & Check-in This trip was originally booked for Labor Day, but an airline meltdown forced a postponement. Stephanie Lora and Mario were absolute angels throughout the rescheduling process. When I finally walked up to the front desk in December, Mario recognized me instantly and greeted me with the warmest hug. It was a full-circle moment I’ll never forget. Thank you, Mario! That hug meant the world to me. The Room & Private Plunge Pool My Marvelous Suite with private plunge pool was pure bliss. The W bed is still one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, and waking up to that rain shower every morning was the perfect start to each day. Noise Level Any room by the Chill pool will hear the music that is being played throughout the daytime hours. At night, DJ’s move their equipment indoors (usually Sensazioni / or the outdoor amphitheater). I did not mind the daytime noise a bit. I do like EDM music, so this may be a nuisance for those who do not care for the music genre. Spa music is played throughout the halls as you exit your room. It was calming to hear this every time I walked the halls coming to and from my room. Value I thought the room rate was appropriate for the amount of amenities, food, drinks, service and attention to detail the resort provides to the consumer. It should be noted that premium alcohols (whiskey, tequila, vodka, etc.) are found throughout the property. I was not expecting to have a butler during my stay. This butler service was very helpful in me familiarizing myself with the property, the daily activities, and the best spots at the resort to grab a bite to eat. Housekeeping serviced the room daily. Housekeeping did a thorough job every time they visited the room. They even folded our clothes one day we accidentally left them on the floor after a quick pool dip. Great bang for your buck in my opinion. I tipped throughout the resort during my stay. The staff never showed me any attitude or disrespect. All staff I interacted with seemed to genuinely care on whether or not I was having a good stay. Good to see at such a young property. Butler Service – Next Level Night butler Daniel gave us an extensive tour on arrival and made sure every detail was perfect. Daytime butler Algenis (who I quickly nicknamed “Al-Genius”) was simply phenomenal. Reservations, insider tips, and even escorting me personally to restaurants and the incredible hidden speakeasy (more on that later). Algenis, your energy and attention to detail made the stay unforgettable. Restaurants & Culinary Highlights Every single meal was outstanding. There are alternative options in all the restaurants I attended for those with food sensitivities / allergies. - Taman Beach Club – fresh, casual dinner on night one with attentive service. - Satsuma (rooftop sushi) – magical dinner under the last full moon of 2025. Perfect weather, gorgeous views, excellent sushi. - Scena – Mediterranean flavors with Costa Rican Chef Pablo and manager Mafe running a flawless operation. - Noodle Bar – hands-down the culinary highlight. Manager Wilma, floor captain “Capitán Bienvenido,” and Colombian Chef Sebastian spoiled me with an off-menu tasting: wontons, chicken spring rolls, octopus, beef noodles, ramen, and a perfectly paired Pinot Noir. Japanese technique with Colombian soul. Very unique and delicious! - Trade Market – abundant, high-quality breakfast buffet with staff who genuinely care. Special thanks to Chef Jorge Boza for checking in. - Outpost Café – dangerous pastry and ice-cream selection plus excellent coffee. - Living Room Bar – Master bartender RÍna mixed the single best espresso martini I’ve ever had in the Caribbean. We parted by her saying “Not goodbye, until next time.” She’s 100% right. The Hidden Gem: 33 1/3 Speakeasy Ask for the “W Cigar” at the cigar shop, watch the wall slide open, climb the secret stairs, and step into a retro paradise with vinyl records, vintage arcade games (yes, I put my initials on the Pac-Man high-score board), and superb cocktails. Algenis gets full credit for introducing me. My mind was blown. This was my very first speakeasy I attended in the Carribean. Activities & Amenities - FIT Gym – state-of-the-art TechnoGym equipment. Ricardo (“El Hombre de Boot Camp”) and Octavio greeted every guest by name, spotted when needed, and brought infectious positive energy. Easily one of the best hotel gyms I’ve ever used. It should also be noted the gym is open 24 hours. - Beach & Wet Deck – flawless service; fresh towels and constant water refills under the Caribbean sun. - AWAY Spa – beautiful facilities (sauna, steam, plunge pools, hydrotherapy, salon). I only did the tour but it looked world-class. - Daily activities – morning HIIT boot camps with Ricardo, evening DJs, karaoke at Sensazioni, full events calendar texted daily by Algenis. Leadership & Staff Culture General Manager Omar Rivera sets the tone. I spotted him multiple times personally helping guests, checking tables, and even appearing (Batman-style) at 33 1/3 to make sure I was having fun. His open-door, sleeves-rolled-up leadership is exactly why every single employee, from butlers to bartenders to beach attendants, radiates pride and warmth. Final Thoughts I’ve stayed at W properties all over the world to include NYC, Maldives, South Beach, Barcelona, Austin, and Punta Mita. W Punta Cana just took the crown as my absolute favorite. Adult-focused, sophisticated, yet genuinely joyful. Zero attitude, maximum heart. Omar, Algenis, Mario, Ricardo, Octavio, Daniel, RÍna, Sebastian, Pablo, Wilma, Mafe, Bienvenido, Chef Jorge, Raul, Elian “Fabolous,” and every single team member I didn’t have space to name, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You didn’t just host me, you made me feel like family. Until next time!

I stayed at the new W Punta Cana and it was amazing! For the end of the year, I wanted a calm and relaxing vacation and didn't want to leave the resort and the W was perfect for that. The resort was gorgeous and I love how it was adult's only which added to the calm atmosphere. The rooms were spacious and super clean. I loved how there were also a ton of activities to do at the hotel as well from jewelry making to pottery to spin classes, you def don't even have to leave the property! The resort also offers an array of options for food so you can def switch it up and you can also order room service 24 hours a day also included with your stay! The food was good esp for an all inclusive, wouldn't say it was spectacular but there is def something to fit everyone's needs! I will def be staying here again!
