Skip this overpriced hotel

So first the pros. Love the heated toilet seats and the soft beds. The pool is small but useable. Now the cons. Lots of noise from the street, despite a room on a high floor, hot tub is always overcrowded and often has small kids in using it as a playground, the pool area is constantly blasting music loudly, and best of all the hotel stopped all use of the pool area from noon yesterday due to a private party but still charged the full resort fee. Do yourself a favor and check into Moana surfrider instead.

The most amazing hotel I have ever visited! Beautiful, clean and friendly. The staff, bellmen, bar tenders, waitresses and waiter were amazing and friendly. The housekeeping staff was very accommodating. Best hotel EVER!

Best in Waikiki

We went there to celebrate an event and we also got to stay at the hotel. Event planners, catering department, and wait staff were helpful and made our event a success! The food was excellent! Hold your event there, you can't go wrong! My hotel room was beautiful, clean, and full of amenities . It was also comfortable, like home.

Dont Stay Here

We live on island and wanted to book a hotel for the night in Honolulu. We were really excited for our stay! I called a couple days prior to check and see if the Kama'aina deal or Black Friday deal would be better and was advised the Black Friday because it came with free parking. Upon arriving we checked in and the women who checked us in gave us zero information about the resort. I mean she literally asked for my credit card and said heres your key. That was it. She never gave me a receipt and I just checked and my credit card was charged for WAY more than the hotel website had told me it was going to cost when I booked it. Im very confused. When we checked out she was who helped us again...UGH! I asked her to send me a receipt to my email and she never did. Our room was okay but we were on the 4th floor ocean front and there was lots of garbage on the ground directly outside our balcony. The room was nothing special either. It was overall such a bummer and I wont recommend this hotel to anyone!

Has everything you need

We arrived early in the morning and pre- registered with the hotel. We left our bags at the bell desk and by 1pm we received a text to say our room was ready. We had an ocean view room on the 8th floor with spectacular views of Waikiki Beach and Kalakaua Avenue to watch the sunset on the balcony. The room was a really good size, housekeeping kept it clean & tidy with fresh towels each day. The entrance and lobby of this hotel is impressive starting with a lovely porte cochere, huge lobby doors and a 2 storey aquarium. The staff at the front desk are wonderful and welcoming. The pool and Swell Bar are located on level 5. It’s lovely to relax and watch the sunset at the pool with a cocktail in hand. One thing I noticed, don’t leave your food unattended because the birds will be there in a flash… even if you’re sitting on the sun lounges! There are ABC stores located on every corner of Waikiki and there is one that is just next to the hotel. You can enter right from the hotel which is handy if you need anything. We spent 6 nights at ‘Alohilani Resort and loved every second of it. We will most definitely be back.
