Great location with stunning ocean and sunset views. Wonderful resort with very good food options and excellent and friendly staff. We love staying at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa and will definitely be back.
Great with a few flaws

Overall hotel was quite lovely - would give 4 1/2 stars rounded up to 5. Check in was quick with Marshall at the front desk as notably personable and helpful. Room itself was updated but the bathroom was oddly configured and narrow with only one hook in an inconvenient location. Our room had a great beach view but also overlooked trash and debris on the roof. Service and food/drinks were excellent.
Disappointed

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. The resort is stunning, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the views were breathtaking. Being steps from Waikiki Beach made it so easy to soak in the beauty of O?ahu. It was the perfect blend of relaxation and island energy - we will absolutely return!
Do NOT go to the farmer's market

We loved our stay at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. Our room seemed relatively new so not sure what people are saying about the rooms being outdated, and we had a standard room. It's also very nice to have a balcony in every room so you can enjoy that Hawaiian breeze. The location is perfect. The beach is across the street and the Hawaiian Marketplace is right next door. There are some really nice restaurants very close by. Maduro Spot is a must for poke. Tanaka is great for Hibachi. Duke's is a little overrated but Hula Grill was good. The staff was so nice they left us treats since we were there for my birthday. The pool was a bit small but you are right across the street from the beach so why are you at the pool anyway. The buffet was a little expensive but very very good and everything in hawaii is expensive so it wasn't outrageous. The activities were a lot of fun. We made leis and took ukelele lessons. The only thing we did not like about our stay was the farmer's market. It turned out to be a complete rip-off. The Local Boiz Hawaiian tea is way overpriced - you can buy it for much cheaper on their website. They charged my girlfriend $50 for 6 bags on Monday. We went back on Thursday and they offered her $10 for the same 6 bags. Another vendor was charging $15 for a coconut water for some sorry looking coconuts. If you walk half a block from the hotel, you can find a juice stand that also sells coconut water for $10 and the coconuts look much fresher.
