Great place to stay - Near everything Waikiki has to offer

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki for the first time for 3 days and had a wonderful time. We had 2 rooms, as I traveled with my husband, son, daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. The VIP Manager, Mr. Lee, made our welcome and introduction to the Hyatt Regency Waikiki so memorable. Walking into our room and seeing the thoughtful welcome amenities, snacks, and water bottles was such a pleasant surprise. We truly appreciated his generosity and kindness. The ocean view from our room was absolutely beautiful. It was a wonderful upgrade and made our stay even more special. Every staff member we encountered, from the front desk, valet, bell desk, housekeeping, and other team members, was warm, friendly, and professional. Their outstanding hospitality made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our visit. The resort is 50 years old, built in 1976 I believe, so the rooms are a bit dated, however, they are comfortable and clean. The room size is adequate and there was plenty of space for me, my husband, and our 14 year old son. The hotel's location was fantastic. We loved being within walking distance of so many restaurants and shops, and having the beach just steps away, across the street, was incredibly convenient. The resort is very crowded, because of all it has to offer, so just be aware that it is very busy. It would be hard to find a better location for enjoying Waikiki. We also appreciated the complimentary beach towels and the availability of beach chairs and water sports rentals the resort offered. In addition, they also had a crib for my grandson, and he slept very comfortably in it during our stay. The exceptional hospitality and the warm welcome extended to our family truly made our stay outstanding. I recommend this resort and will definitely return.
Location! Location! Location!

First time staying at a Hyatt. We were not disappointed. The rooms were huge and the views were amazing! Literally right across the street from waikiki beach. Great surf! Next to Musube Cafe which had the best spam musubes. Moku surf shop right across for surfboard rentals. International market is only a couple blocks for Kona Purveyors coffee. Lines were too long though. Duke’s marketplace had the best malasadas and cheaper Kona coffee with shorter lines. Hyatt was literally at the heart of everything. Great location. Great amenities. Clean and staff are amazing!
Needs a renovation

This is my third time here. This hotel is badly in need of an update. Rooms look to be from the 90s and everything is just worn. It is not what I would expect from a Hyatt and we stay at them a lot (we are globalist). I would have left tonight but my family is against changing hotels again as this is our third island this week so I am stuck, but this will be my last visit her until they do an update. Check in was smooth and the staff was fine I will give them that.

A Great Stay, Even After 12 Years

This was my second stay at the property, 12 years after my first visit. I was pleased to see how well the management team has maintained it over the years. The location is convenient, and the onsite rental car agency is a great added benefit. This continues to be my preferred place to stay whenever I visit Oahu.
